One Brand Review - Nature Republic

by - November 06, 2016

Something really annoying happened earlier when I took photos of these products.  After taking several shots and after the struggle of finding good lighting, I realized there's no memory card in my camera so I had to redo everything.  A good 20 minutes of my day was wasted.  Pft. #shithappens

Anyway, at least I was still able to finish and the second round of photos turned out to be nice.

Tonight, let me share with you my thoughts on these Nature Republic goodies.

Bamboo Charcoal Mud Pack

I've been wanting to try the famous one from Origins and Innisfree but since I saw this Bamboo Charcoal Mud Pack during the Nature Republic SM MOA store opening, I picked it up just to know how these types of clay masks feel like.

This one claims to remove pore-clogging impurities and it is made of bamboo charcoal powder from Damyang, a village in South Korea known for its bamboo forest.  It also contains a few fruit extracts such as blueberry and cranberry.

Anything charcoal is associated to deep cleansing in the skincare world - not only for BBQ.  Haha!

This one costs around 300 php for 150 grams.

I only use this once a week.  When applying it, it's important to make sure that your face is really dry because that would make the product cling onto the skin a lot easier.  The tough part though is rinsing it off.

It feels slimy but not too thick so it's not difficult to spread out.  It doesn't smell weird also and maybe that's because of the other ingredients.

There's a slight cooling sensation when it's still wet.  When it dries, it becomes ashy and the weird tiny holes appear.  I think it's because of the pores.

I can't say that it does a great job of minimizing the appearance of the pores or even unclogging them, but whenever I use this, I feel like my skin is extra clean and excess sebum is taken away.  My skin doesn't feel too tight after and it doesn't get irritated.

I recommend this for any skin type and to those looking for a cheaper alternative to high-end clay/mud masks.

Aloe Vera Cleansing Tissues

If you love the Aloe Vera Gel, you will definitely love this one as well.  #rhyming

Price is about 300 php and Nature Republic sells them at a special price for a twin pack.

At first, I actually did not expect that it would be tough on makeup but after using it several times, I was really impressed.

It's the perfect companion when travelling because you don't have to bring a liquid-type of makeup remover and if you have a large space in your bag, you can pop one out to clean a greasy face after a long day.

This pack has been with me when I went to Japan and China and I haven't finished it, but the tissues still haven't dried out.  Amazing!

Of course, I still wash my face after but I don't have to worry about stubborn eye makeup so I'm really loving it.

The actual tissue also doesn't feel harsh nor drying on the skin and lips.

If you're someone who can't live without cleansing wipes, please try this one!

Travel Kit

I'm not sure if these are for sale because I got the kit in a goodie bag during an event.

I bring this with me whenever I travel or go for a sleepover.  Even though hotels provide basic toiletries, I still want to throw this in my luggage for backup in case those free ones don't smell good.

These come in a zipper type of clear plastic bag. They're in the perfect size, aren't they?

The shampoo and conditioner are my favorites because they make my hair soft and manageable.  I was surprised to know that Nature Republic makes amazing hair care products!

All of them smell sooooo good!  The cleanser also works great.

I really love this squad!  They are going to be my shower companion again next week for our Davao trip.

That's it!  The next Nature Republic products I'm gonna talk about are the samples.  Stay tuned!
