Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter

by - October 02, 2017

Apart from my love for lipsticks, I am also highlighter-obsessed now.  It's not that I would wear it everyday even if it's like 34 degrees outside.  If that's the case, I'll pass and just let the sweat on my face reflect light.  Haha!

I guess it's just so damn hard not to fall in love with the glow once you apply it on your cheekbones, tip of the nose, inner corners, EVERYWHERE!  😄

Anyway, if you need a "glow-up", here's another blinding highlighter I can recommend.

I was contemplating whether it's better to get this or Benefit's High Beam, but since I already got Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in liquid version, I went for a new formula and something newer as well.

You can get this on Sephora for 1,900 php.

As expected from Benefit, the product name is creative and packaging is amazing.  It comes in a tube which also has a small sponge applicator at the other end.  I rarely use it though because for me, it's better to blend using a finger or my favorite RT Setting Brush.

Since it's cream-based, you need not worry about breaking the product in case it falls.  However, you still have to be a little careful because you might accidentally scrape it, just like what happened to mine recently.  Good thing, it's a very tiny portion.  #clumsyasalways

If you want a proof that the application is so damn smooth with this stick highlighter, go watch my Sephora highlighter haul video.  I was also surprised the first time I used it.  No tugging required.  🙌

Another great thing about Watt's Up or perhaps, stick highlighters in general, they do a more precise application compared to liquid ones.

I bet you'll love the formula of this!  There's no tackiness, it's not patchy and not chalky.  It also smells like powder.

It has a champagne color which would look perfect on any skin tone.  I can see very tiny glitters when swatched but they don't show up on the face.

You can definitely opt for a soft glow or if you're in the mood for an intense gleam, just apply more.  #becausewecantgetenoughoftheglow

When Kris took this photo, there's not much light in the place but look at that cheekbone!  Still not convinced?  How about an indoor shot?

See the pretty beam?  💛

Once my face gets oily, it still looks okay but since I need to pat on some powder at the middle of my day, blot my face or whatever, it tends to budge.  I don't see that as a problem though because it's so easy to apply.
