L'OREAL PARIS Infallible Pro Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nudist and Stirred

by - August 19, 2019

The past few weeks have been nothing but hectic.  That's why I couldn't be more thankful for the holidays this month because at least, there's time for a quick breather.  Such a relief!

If you're also having the same crazy ride lately, make sure to give yourself some time to pause and recharge.  Always find that so-called balance in life.  Remember that the busyness will eventually die down, so let's try our best not to be too frantic and aim for one tick off our to-do list at a time. 😉

Good thing, I still managed to find time this weekend to prepare a blog post.  Here's a review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte liquid lipsticks.

This retails for 399 php, but I was able to score these two for a discounted price.

Color

Nudist is a peachy nude shade.  It looks pale when swatched but when it dries down, it becomes a bit darker.  It's a good everyday lip color.

Stirred is a deep plum shade.  It' so vampy, so I don't really wear this often.

Both are extremely pigmented without being streaky.

Finish & Formula

I don't know if it's specific to shade, but Nudist dries down to a matte finish while Stirred gets dry too yet it looks like there's some shine still.

The consistency is way thicker than most of the liquid lipsticks that I've tried.  It's not a mousse, nor cream.  The formula is definitely on the liquid side, but not watery.  Moreover, it's very tacky.

I love the nude shade, but I hate how it looks clumpy.  The dark shade, on the other hand, is not my usual color, but the way it sets on the lips looks better.

They both smell like delicious cupcakes.  🍰

Application

As expected, Stirred is always giving me a hard time.  I would end up with a messy application (as you can see in the photos) even after trying my best to clean up the edges.  It may be best to pair it with a lip liner.

I appreciate the doe-foot applicator though.  It's bendy and it's arrow-tipped.  I think it helps a bit when I try to go over the edges.  Although for bold colors, I guess it would often require more effort.

Lasting Power

They said these could last for 16 hours on the lips.  I don't know why I would need a lippie like that but yes, these are long-lasting.  😊

They are not completely transfer-proof, but the color stays put even after a meal.  There's some fading and unevenness too, but they wouldn't come off easily like regular lipsticks.  Even when it's time to take them off, they would make you grab a makeup remover.  Stirred also leaves a bit of stain.

These are not the most wearable and lightweight liquid lipsticks I've tried, but I'd say these are indeed budge-proof.  They also do not feel drying even if the formula is heavy and clumpy.

Maybe all of the darker colors are a pain to remove completely and unforgiving in terms of application, so if you want to try one, better to pick Nudist or Cowboy.
