Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Etude Styling White Eyeliner

by - February 08, 2013

It hurt me when I lost my silver eyeliner pencil.  Recently, my NYX Lip Liner went missing too.  :(  So sad.  I've been planning to show you my trick to change the color of your red lipstick using that.  Oh well... someone needs to buy a new one.

In replacement to my silver liner, I bought Etude's Styling Pencil.  I realized that it's not too easy to find a white eyeliner from the usual makeup brands in the drugstore.

In case you're wondering, why white or silver?

First reason... it instantly brightens up the face.  It's like from "DULL to DOLL" magic.  Next, it creates an illusion of larger eyes.  When I was in college (oh my I miss my college days!), it was like no-eyeshadow-no-way for me.  The solution?  White Eyeliner!  :)  Just like Geum Jan Di of Boys Over Flowers!  Remember?!  And another one....... it can double up as a highlighter.

This one from Etude is a retractable one.  No need to sharpen.  As I remember, it measures about 1 inch.  I bought it at 128 pesos.

Take a closer look at the shade.  It's pigmented enough with little a shimmer and very easy to glide on the waterlines.  Let me show you the before and after photos.

Before... not bad even without the eyeliner, right?  Oh by the way, I'm planning to create another video tutorial for an everyday, natural look.  Please do watch out for it.  :)

After

Another one

What I don't like about it?
  • Not long lasting.
  • It smudges easily and goes to my lower lashes.  It doesn't stay on the waterline throughout the day.
  • I still prefer the pencil type because it contains more product than the retractable ones.
  • It looks like it's easy to break.  Compared to pencil, you can always sharpen and it would be good as new.
Here's a full photo. :)

This is available in black as well.  For more information, visit Etude's website and Facebook page.
