Sample Stash - Tony Moly Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack

by - May 11, 2015

Today has been mentally draining.  I've managed to finish everything in my to-do list except for one.  Or maybe two.  I hope there's still enough energy left for a quick core workout later.

Anywaaaay, I'm so eager to lessen my backlogs and create new and fresh content for you guys.  As I mentioned, I want to steer away from product reviews for a little moment.  I'm still not quite sure though what to do next.  Any suggestion?

For now, let's talk about my featured sample of the week!

Soooo, sleeping pack, huh?

Our skin does all the hard work at night.  There are a lot of things happening under the surface including cell regeneration and repair.  That's why our nighttime skin routine is very important and what we put on our face before we sleep is essential if we want a glowing, healthy and more radiant skin the next day.

If you think your serum and mask are not sufficient, then try this one.

This is Tony Moly's Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack.  I'm not sure if they've already discontinued this product because I couldn't see it anymore in their website.  In case you want to check it out personally, visit the store and look for that black & white dude above.

Anyhoo, I got to try it (thanks for the samples I have) and here's my two cents.

What I love about it

  • gel-like texture
  • slightly cooling effect
  • pleasant smell though I'd prefer something more calming because you know, it's a "sleeping" pack
  • not greasy (I expected it to be super sticky on the face but it's not, so thy pillows are safe)

To go for full-sized or not?

I honestly love the idea of sleeping packs but I'd still opt to slap on facial masks.  They basically have the same benefit anyway, which is to really bring back the moisture and locking in the actives from other skincare products we use.

The only letdown is the pimple that it gave me.  I didn't feel anything weird like itchiness or something like that so I was really surprised.  Oh well.  Maybe it's not for me.  Or perhaps, it's just wrong-timing because of my PMS.  Should I try it again?  :{
