Make Up And Hair (MUAH) - Heroine Make Jewelry Eyecolor Quads

by - July 26, 2015

Isn't it so absurd how a day that's starting out so damn fine would suddenly get all ruined and effing messed up?  Things that are out of your control got thrown at you and you'd be like a deer in headlights.  You even got no idea how to bring back that disposition you had minutes ago.

Well, congrats dear.  Just like that, you had one of the worst days of your life.

I had mine last Friday.  An eye-opener, I would say.  But thanks to the Awesome Guy up there, I'm feeling soooooo much better now.  Totally over it.  #LifeGoesOn

Anywaaaaaay, today, I'm blogging to talk about makeup, so allow me to end that life-realization kind of intro and share my thoughts on these two gorgeous palettes.

These are two "shiny shimmering splendid" eye shadow quads by Heroine Make called Jewelry Eyecolor.  These are perfect for those who are into pearly, glittery eye makeup.

They look like typical eye palettes but actually, there's a unique thing about them.  Each comes with a white base which acts as a primer to make the other three colors more vivid and long-lasting.

So for 650 php, you'll get a lasting base, three eye shadow colors to create an everyday or a glam look plus, a dual tip applicator. #bangforthebuck

I got Rose Garnet and Beige Gold - swatches and sample eye makeup below.

I haven't really used the guy above because I prefer using my fingers or my brushes to do my eye makeup.  It looks okay though.

And because the two darker colors are so pigmented, both can be used as a soft and smokey eyeliner.  The formula also contains moisturizing ingredients such as wild rose oil, chamomile extract and hyaluronic acid.  Good stuff for the sensitive eye area!

The actual eye shadows do not come in powdery form.  It's actually kinda mousy (I think).

The white base has a slightly creamy consistency - easy to transfer onto the skin.  For the other three, they all blend so nicely, not patchy, not chalky and color payoff is amazing!

My only concern is the glittery effect but I can look past that because at least, the sparkle is still manageable and appropriate for daytime looks.  You won't look like a disco ball.  I swear.

You can create stunning looks for a night out or simple and light for casual days.  Sometimes, I love to use just one color because it's enough to give dimension to the eyes.

Beige Gold Quad is a neutral palette with cool-toned browns.

Rose Garnet Quad has the same tone but with more intense hues and of course, a deep purple for a pop of color.

On these swatches, they look like they have a frosty kind of finish but in person, you'll see the shimmers and sparkles.

You can also apply these shadows damp or dry.  With and without the base, they still look so opaque.

The lasting power is also impressive.  Although at the end of the day, I've noticed some fall outs.

It doesn't crease and there's very minimal fading after several hours.

For these daytime looks, I used the:
  • base all over the lids
  • lightest shade (upper right) on top of it
  • medium shade (lower right) on the outer corners
  • darkest shade (lower left) as eyeliner

I'll make sure to create a makeup video featuring these palettes and let's not forget, the brand's Impact Liquid eyeliner.

Oh by the way, there are two other variants of Jewelry Eyecolor called Yellow Sapphire and Pink Amethyst.  Go check them out at Heroine Make counters at Watsons.
