Finally!  Here's another beauty haul featuring the makeup items I bought in Japan and a couple of drugstore cosmetics as well.

After this one, I need to film again to share with you my latest loot. Hopefully, I can finish that this November.  I actually doubt it because I also need to work on two other videos but should still try.  Let's hustle!

Here's a closer look at the products.

Japanese Makeup

I'm already using the eyeliner and I'm loving it!  It's not as long-lasting as I expected but I'm still obsessed.

Another one I'm liking from this bunch is the blush and my least favorite so far is the concealer.

Provoke Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo

This continuously transforms my bleached hair.  I swear guys, this works.  It's a must have if you want to achieve that granny, silver hair or super ashy brown hair.

Affordable Drugstore BB Creams

Stay tuned for the full review and comparison!  So far, I'm really loving the one from L.A Girl.

Have you tried any of these?

L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss in Dreamy

My goal is to collect liquid lipsticks so I also had to pick this one up when I purchased the BB cream from L.A. Girl.  I'm actually having mixed feelings about it and I'll talk more about it on a separate post.

Korean Cosmetics

I'm taking back what I said in the video about the lip tint.  After using it a few more times, I saw the pigment so it could possibly be one of my favorites!

Here's where I bought it - https://www.facebook.com/gagarinnicole.

So that's it!

I think the next haul video will be long also because so far, I already have at least 10 products to share.  Haha!

Thanks for watching!  Please don't forget to hit the like and subscribe button.

Who's excited for the long weekend?  I am!

Well, I'm not planning to just stay in my room and binge-watch.  Oh wait!  On second thought, maybe one day for that is not a bad idea, right?  Haha!  I'm catching up on Running Man and I'm also watching a K-drama called Come Back, Mister starring my first love, Rain.  :P

How about you?  What's your plan this weekend?

So for today, I'm featuring this lipstick from Nature Republic.  I actually regret not getting a lip tint instead but whatever.

They have a variety of lip products and shades but I can't remember finding a matte line.

This costs around 500 php, which for me is a bit pricier compared to good drugstore lippies.

Color

I picked up the shade Pink Someday.  When I swatched it on the back of my hand, it looks like a neutral pink but on the lips, it is on the cool-tone side and almost Barbie pink.

Color payoff is not intense but it still shows up and gives the lips a muted pink tone.

Finish

From the name itself, it is creamy.  Extra extra creamy.  I think it's the creamiest lipstick I have ever used so far.  Maybe even creamier than MAC's Amplified Cremes.

To be honest, it is hard for me to really appreciate this baby because y'all know, your girl is a die-hard matte lips fan.  However, I found a way to still make it work somehow.  Wearing it as a lipstick topper is better.  If I'm in the mood for some shine and also want to tone down the color a bit, I'll apply this.

Formula & Application

Because of the creamy formula, it tends to be streaky and it goes in between the lip lines as well.  Good thing, it is still comfortable to wear and you can really leave your lip balm at home.

Longevity

Another thing I don't like about creamy lipsticks is that, they transfer very easily.  With this one, I also get the nasty white thing on the corners of my mouth after several hours.

Like I said, I will just make use of the shine when I need it.  I really like how it looks like on top of a lip liner.

Maybe if you're into full-looking lips and gloss, you'd enjoy this lipstick.

What do you think?

So yea.  Here comes my first Colourpop baby.  You might be surprised why it's not a liquid lipstick or lippie stix.  Don't worry.  They will come later here on le blog.

I've been buying from the brand for many times now and for those who don't know yet, my purpose is to sell them.  Whatever's left, I'll put in my makeup drawer.  Haha!

Lip products are always the ones that sell out fast.  One time, this baby called my name when it's the last cheek product remaining.  Then, I was like, "come to mommy".

First things first, I'm not really into blushes.  I can totally skip it because I oftentimes feel like I don't need it.

However, there are makeup looks that kind of require them so I still like to keep one in my stash.  Also, sometimes when you don't feel like wearing a bold or bright lippie, dusting on blush on the cheeks is a great alternative to make your face look more awake.

Mine is in the shade Between the Sheets.  Colourpop website describes it as:

a mid-tone beige pink in a matte finish

It retails for 8 usd, same price as with the highlighters.

I think this color suits every skin tone.  I love it because it is not too much on the pink side.  It has hints of mauve which makes it perfect for all kinds of makeup looks.

Pigmentation-wise, this baby got you covered.  It is not the intense type of color payoff though.  It is soft and buildable.

Now, here's my dilemma.

I'm having a hard time applying it evenly using my Real Techniques buffing brush and contour brush.  They said the it is best to use a synthetic type or just the fingers but I think the latter won't be easy as well.

I swear I put enough here but the lighting is just too bright so the blush looks a bit muted.

If you touch it from the pot, you could tell that it's not 100% powder.  It feels moist and I think that makes it cling onto the skin even better.

Even if I rub the swatch on my hand several times, it wouldn't come off.  On the cheeks though, it lasts for hours on me.  Good enough for my oily skin but I would still need to re-apply.

I really think I would make a good use out of this blush.

What do you think?  Do you have a Colourpop blush too?  Which shade?

I really wanted to take a break from drugstore and Korean brands but I just had to get my hands on this talk-of-the-town, beauty junkies' all-time favorite concealer.  I heard a lot of good things about this baby and since it launched, it became a holy grail item of beauty bloggers/Youtubers.

Some even said that this is a dupe of Nars Creamy Radiant concealer, which is also another crowd favorite.  I haven't tried it though.  I was able to only swatch when I dropped by at their counter in Rustan's.  I remember being amazed by how creamy it is, just what its name says.

I got the shade Light (top).  The other one in the picture is Sand but I'm not using it.  It's for sale!  Haha!  Let me know if you like to try it!  Still sealed!

I bought these from Amazon for about 6 or 7 dollars along with the Fit Me foundation but it got sold immediately when I posted it online.

Oh!  By the way, here's the link to my Shoppee account.  Feel free to browse my product catalog.  Hihi!

https://shopee.ph/shop/7417922/

The packaging is simple but I like the sponge on the tip of the wand.

Yes, it is indeed creamy and it blends beautifully.  You can use any tool to apply it - brush or sponge.  You can even use your fingers.

It doesn't smell too "glue-ish" too.

Now, let's talk about coverage.

I think if they put this in a bottle with a pump and sell it as a foundation, it would also be a hit.  I said that because it it has a foundation-like, medium to heavy coverage.  It can cover dark circles and blemishes with just a few dabs.

Look at how it evened out my skin tone!

It just wakes my face up and gives it a pretty nice lift.  It also blurs out pores really well.

My eyes here look extra tired because I didn't get a good sleep but still, it made me look more human.  Haha!

Underneath, I'm only wearing here Maybelline Pore Eraser and I set my entire face with L'Oreal BB Veil Powder.

I get very minimal creasing on the under eye area and it's almost unnoticeable.

Aside from the great coverage, I also love the finish - demi-matte with a natural glow.

I'm always down for any concealer that's perfect for no-foundation, no-BB-cream days.  This one definitely makes your skin look flawless because it can cover any imperfections.  If you need extra coverage, it also pairs nicely with any base.

What do you think?  Have you tried Fit Me concealer?  Did you like it too?

Happy Sunday!

It's a late start for me because of a pretty bad hangover.  I didn't get out of bed until 6 pm.  Haha!

I'm about to complete the haul video (beauty edition) so most likely, it will be up within the week.  Meanwhile, here's another lip product review.

This is Peripera's famous and best-selling lip marker.  It is literally a marker pen with a felt-tip.

Lip tints come in different formulas and packaging but I think this one in particular is the most brilliant and amusing of them all.  There could be no big difference in terms pigmentation but I just like how it looks.  It's like I'm carrying a normal marker in my purse.  Some people who would see me using this on my lips might think I'm crazy.  Haha!

Color

I'm liking plum/berry colored lip tints lately because they don't look as too I-just-sucked-a-fruity-lollipop as the red and pink ones do.

The color is intense and soft as the same time.  It has a nice color payoff and it gets more saturated as you put layers on the lips.

Application

Application is a breeze.  You don't even have to be careful and precise.  The felt-tip feels nice on the lips.  Since it's kinda pointed, I can reach the corners easily and it's not difficult to do a gradient look as well.

Formula

I don't find it drying on the lips.  If I compare it with my Peri Lip Ink, this one's better in terms of formula.

In this photo, I tried to create a gradient effect.  My lighting is too bright so it kinda desaturated the color a bit.

Longevity

No doubt.  This is indeed long-lasting!

After eating or drinking, the color remains.  My lips would still look stained until I repeatedly wipe it off.

I think I have 5 or 6 tints in my drawer and I must say, this one gets into my top 3 list.  Hopefully, it won't dry out easily like normal markers.

I highly recommend this if you want to try Korean lip tints.  Actually, I believe anything from Peripera is great.  Hihi!

What do you think?

To be honest, sharing this video now is kinda pointless because it's long overdue.  But I don't want to put my efforts to waste so I still finished it.

Anyhoo, I'm back to regular programming and I'm so eager to push through.  My goal before the year ends is to get all backlogs done.  I still have about 10 weeks and that should be enough.

Fighting!

As you can see, my hair is still long here and yea, I miss it badly.  I filmed this during my Azure staycation.  I took advantage of the well-lit room and my time off from work.  Instead of slacking off, I chose to hustle.  Really, guys.  You have no idea how tempted I was to just lie down and binge watch.  Haha!

In this video, I featured the pieces I got from my Osaka and Manila shopping.  Most of them are basics and not interesting at all but since I accumulated a couple of new clothes already, I thought it would be the perfect time to do my first-ever fashion try-on haul.

By the way, I'll be talking in Taglish in most of my upcoming videos.  Wala lang.  Para chill-chill lang!  :P

Clearly, it's easier to leave the hair removal process to the pros.  You walk in, lie down, raise your arms and after a few minutes, your pits are hair free.  However, one thing I hate about this whole waxing process is that, when hair starts to pop out after a week and you couldn't have it removed because some of them strands are too short for another session yet some are long already - long enough to prevent you from wearing sleeveless clothes.  Get it?  Haha!

I thought I needed something that would allow me to get rid of the hair anytime (anywhere, char).  So I rushed to the drugstore and grabbed a waxing kit from this brand called Megan.  They also have wax strips and I had to get it too because I thought it would be more convenient for me.

The hot wax kit is not new to me.  I've tried one before but after finishing a pan, I stopped because of the hassle of heating it up multiple times until I'm done.  Yes, it's still the same dilemma but I think I got used to it already.

A box contains two round hard waxes, one pan and a wooden spatula.  Seriously, it's a complete kit.  No need for wax paper too because you can get the job done by peeling the wax itself.

There's nothing magical and complicated about it .  You melt it, let it cool for a couple of minutes, apply it onto the skin, wait for a few seconds, peel it off and repeat.

Like I said, the not-so-good thing about hot wax kits is that, it requires EFFORT.  Well, if  you have the electronic wax melter, then maybe it would be so much easier.

I'm already using the second hard wax.  I don't recommend reusing the actual parts with hair because I think it's not that hygienic.  But in case you peel it and nothing comes off, then maybe it's fine to put it back on the pan.  Otherwise, throw it away, teh.

If you're a first-time user of hot wax, here's one thing you need to know.  It's actually stated on the box but let me mention anyway.

It's important to know when to peel.  If it's still too soft, it might not have a good grasp yet.  If it's too hard, it would likely crack as you pull it.

Now, if I just need to remove a few annoying strands, I'd use the strips.  However, hair should still be long enough to really stick and get removed.

All you would need is some rubbing action.  Uhm, that sounded weird but yea, a lot actually.  Haha!

A few tips...

Cut the pad into small squares and do small sections rather than putting on the whole pad on your underarms.

Rub the sheet between your palm to "activate" it.  Hahah!  I mean warm it up.

It is REALLY sticky and can REALLY hurt if you repeatedly use on the same area.  I suggest that if hair doesn't come off after 2 or 3 tries, then give up.  Maybe the strands are not long enough, so be patient and wait.  If you can't, then pluck it instead of giving your skin a hard time.

It actually has a nice honey scent.  Even the cleansing wipe smells soooo good.

Sorry, I don't have a photo!  It's literally a paper soaked in oil but it is amazing because after you wipe it off with a dry tissue or cloth, the grease is gone.  Forever.  Haha!

Final thoughts...

I only use these to remove underarm hair and it's effective.  I'm not sure if it's the same when used on arms, legs or face.

I also make sure I apply Nature Republic Aloe Vera gel before and after the waxing sesh.  For me, it's the best post-wax treatment because it is very soothing.  After putting it on, I will then wipe it with tissue.

In case you're wondering, I still go to Laybare every once in a while especially if I don't have time because let's be honest, at-home waxing consumes more time (but cheaper).

I actually have a photo but I guess I'd rather not share it because it might bother some of you. It's not as yucky as you think though!  Haha!  Let's just say, imagine the wax paper with a 2 or 3 strands of armpit hair.  :P

Both didn't cost me more than 100 pesos (79 each).  Best part, it could last several months but of course, it depends on your hair growth.

So that's it!  If you want to give it a try, you can find it in Landmark Department Store and SM Hypermarket.

Heeeeey!  I'm back!

It's been a long hiatus because I just got back from another business trip.  I could have posted at least one review in the past two weeks but it's just impossible because Google is blocked in China.  The VPN only works for my phone.  Ugh.  Imagine the struggle.

Good thing, I already have photos I need for this post.

So now, let me share my thoughts about these 4 products that I've tried/I've been using.

SkinWhite Whitening Face Lotion

To be honest, I didn't expect too much from this whitening cream because I totally rely on my forever favorite Kojie San soap anyway.  I thought I don't need any other stuff that would lighten my complexion and this face cream would just be an extra step in my daytime skincare routine.

However, I do like it.  It's an instant face brightener - like a creamier CC Cream.  My only complain though is the formula because it's really thick so blending takes more effort.

The left photo looks a bit yellow because of the natural lighting but yea, here's how it looks like with a thin layer of foundation on top.

Even though it literally lightens the face, it still doesn't create a white, ghost-like mask.

I'm not sure about the long-term effect because I don't use this regularly.  Uhm, maybe it can really whiten the skin overtime.  Maybe?

Also, I'm loving SkinWhite's Body Lotion because of its non-sticky formula!

Nature Republic Concealer Stick

This one, I picked up very randomly.  I'm a heavy-concealer user so I like to keep at least 2 in my stash.  Haha!

Unfortunately, the stick already broke.  That's the problem with this type of concealer, if it's too hot, it would soften and later on break.

Coverage is light.  I need to put on layers to brighten up my dark circles.  That's fine but it would look too cakey after and sometimes crease.

See?  It barely covers the bags.  Haha!

Nature Republic Green Tea Mask Sheet

It's difficult to compare masks but I think all of the ones I've tried so far are good, including this one.  I wish the sheet though was a bit thicker because it tore easily when I pulled it but it still adhered well on the skin so no biggie.

Etude House Play 101 Pencil in Black #1

I love the intense pigment and application is a breeze because of the creamy-ish formula.  However, my problem is the lasting power.  Since I have oily lids, it smudges and gets on my lower lash line.

It comes with a sharpener but it's only for the actual crayon's tip.  You just need to twist it up to get the product out.

I use it to tightline my eyes.  Because of the formula, it's super easy to brush along the upper lash line.

I think I would settle for this one until I get my hands on another eyeliner that's more smudge-proof.  :)

So, that's it!  Short and straightforward reviews.  Haha!  I think I like doing this more than the full ones.

Anyway, quick catching up first before I end this post.  I just want to let you guys know what's coming up here and on le Youtube channel.

I'm blogging lesser now compared before because of my very busy life.  By life, I mean WORK.  Hahahah!  But the goal is to post something at least once or twice a week.  As for the videos, I'm cooking up two hauls now.  I also filmed a lip swatch video but for sure, it would not come anytime soon.

I don't want to keep le blog too stagnant for a long time so yea, good luck to me!  No procrastinating!  #AlwaysOnMyGrind :)

Bye!
