Althea has taken their game to the next level! They just recently launched their first ever product and I know for sure that more are coming.

They now have their very own translucent powder which comes in a nice packaging.  The box it comes with looks like a mini version of their shipping box.


It's called Petal Velvet Powder and it only retails at 210 php.


It contains 3g of powder and inside, you'll also get a fluffy puff.


The powder itself is ultra fine and velvety, hence the name.  It makes the skin really smooth and creates this silky-to-the-touch yet matte finish.  It also smells like roses but it's not too overpowering.


It sets base makeup beautifully and blurs the pores instantly.  I've been using it for days now and so far, I haven't noticed any clogging or irritation.

I like how light it feels as well.  It's as if my skin can still breathe.


I love using it to set my concealer because it lessens the creasing and it could stay put on that area for hours unless I get really really sweaty.

In terms of oil-control, I remember a day when I wondered why my face wasn't greasy yet.  So yea, I think it works in keeping my excess sebum at bay for a good amount of time too.


Even though it's a translucent powder, I can still notice a subtle, instant brightening effect.

This is definitely something I would use to combat my shiny t-zone.  Unlike normal face powders that could look cakey when applied during touch ups, this just mattifies the skin and it looks fresh.


The only thing I don't dig too much about this powder is the scent because I'm not a fan of anything floral.

So that's it!  I already have 3 loose powders from 3 different Korean brands so I guess it's just right to do a throwdown post for them.
