Remember my latest Althea box?  I bought a bunch of concealers for another throwdown post.  I've tried all five of them and yes, I already know my top pick.  Anyway, that's for later.  Meanwhile, here's my review on Mizon's Correct Concealer.

I got Light Beige, which I find to be a little too light for me, but it's still a nice brightening shade.  I think the other option, Natural Beige would be a color match for me as well.

It costs 230 php on Althea site and a tube contains 9g of product.

It comes with a doe-foot applicator which is very common for liquid concealers in this type of packaging.  What makes it a bit different though is its chubby sponge tip.

Formula-wise, it has a thick consistency and it feels heavy on skin, which I don't dig too much.  It blends nicely though, but it sets fast.  It creates a nice foundation-like finish because of its medium coverage.

It could look a bit drying on the under eyes and there's minimal creasing after a few hours.

It doesn't have a glue-ish scent and a greasy feel as well

Lately, I've been letting my skin breathe by only using concealer to hide those dark circles and spots and setting it with powder.  I like this product for that purpose but my problem with it is how it overly brightens my face.  Maybe it's just because of the light shade like I said.

Also, I don't know if it's just because of how I buff it but I notice that sometimes, it looks like it's just sitting on top of skin.  It's quite the same even if I use a sponge, brush or finger. 😕

Overall, it's a nice brightening concealer and I still appreciate the coverage.  There's just something off about the formula but it's not something that I wouldn't be able to work with, so I'm still good. 😊

My BenCab museum experience in Baguio left a mark and it just made me appreciate art more in all its form.  So one day, we drove all the way to Antipolo to see another one.

Pinto Art Museum isn't just an art gallery.  It offers more.

I ain't talking about the IG-worthy corners, though I admit, it's one of the perfect places to go if your feed is getting a bit dull.

Entrance fee costs 200 php but they do give discounts for students.  It's open until 6pm so make sure to take good shots during the golden hour. 😊

I suggest you go there one weekend.  I swear, it's worth it.  Even if you're not an artsy person, you'll definitely love the place.

Seems like loose powders are not too much of a hot item in K-beauty world since they love dewy look and most of them deal with dry skin than oily anyway.  However, it's still something that's hard to skip because you would be needing something to set your base with.  For us, Filipina though, it's a must-have.

I've tried 3 powders from 3 Korean brands and I thought of consolidating my review in a throwdown post.  Coincidently, after buying Innisfree's, another two came in from Althea.  It's actually not easy to compare all of them because they perform very similarly.  Anyway, let me break it down below for you.

They all have the sifter thing and a puff.  No difference in terms of overall packaging but as for the content, the Althea one has lesser product but I dig its look more.

I think it's really a common design for puffs to have a ribbon thing with brand name or logo on.  Cute!  😚

Btw, my Innisfree puff looks dirty because I used it for my Celeteque loose powder, which is not translucent.

I also like to use a brush to apply these.

Apart from what I listed below, all 3 have pretty much the same effect and longevity.  When I use them, I don't notice any significant difference.

They don't produce a white cast but Althea has a slight brightening effect, which is good.  For touch-ups, all of them apply nicely even when there's grease already.  😊

I tried using each under the same foundation (very thin layer) and concealer and here's how they turned out.

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder

Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Powder

Althea Velvet Powder

I don't think it would make sense if I choose a top 1 because they're generally the same, but for the sake of choosing a favorite, I would go for Althea Velvet Powder.  I just find myself grabbing it more often the other two.

Apart from my love for lipsticks, I am also highlighter-obsessed now.  It's not that I would wear it everyday even if it's like 34 degrees outside.  If that's the case, I'll pass and just let the sweat on my face reflect light.  Haha!

I guess it's just so damn hard not to fall in love with the glow once you apply it on your cheekbones, tip of the nose, inner corners, EVERYWHERE!  ðŸ˜„

Anyway, if you need a "glow-up", here's another blinding highlighter I can recommend.

I was contemplating whether it's better to get this or Benefit's High Beam, but since I already got Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in liquid version, I went for a new formula and something newer as well.

You can get this on Sephora for 1,900 php.

As expected from Benefit, the product name is creative and packaging is amazing.  It comes in a tube which also has a small sponge applicator at the other end.  I rarely use it though because for me, it's better to blend using a finger or my favorite RT Setting Brush.

Since it's cream-based, you need not worry about breaking the product in case it falls.  However, you still have to be a little careful because you might accidentally scrape it, just like what happened to mine recently.  Good thing, it's a very tiny portion.  #clumsyasalways

If you want a proof that the application is so damn smooth with this stick highlighter, go watch my Sephora highlighter haul video.  I was also surprised the first time I used it.  No tugging required.  ðŸ™Œ

Another great thing about Watt's Up or perhaps, stick highlighters in general, they do a more precise application compared to liquid ones.

I bet you'll love the formula of this!  There's no tackiness, it's not patchy and not chalky.  It also smells like powder.

It has a champagne color which would look perfect on any skin tone.  I can see very tiny glitters when swatched but they don't show up on the face.

You can definitely opt for a soft glow or if you're in the mood for an intense gleam, just apply more.  #becausewecantgetenoughoftheglow

When Kris took this photo, there's not much light in the place but look at that cheekbone!  Still not convinced?  How about an indoor shot?

See the pretty beam?  ðŸ’›

Once my face gets oily, it still looks okay but since I need to pat on some powder at the middle of my day, blot my face or whatever, it tends to budge.  I don't see that as a problem though because it's so easy to apply.
