It's been months since I last talked about lipsticks. I've accumulated a bunch of new ones (mostly liquid) and been using them but never had the chance to do series of reviews because of my frequent hiatus.
Anyway, you're about to see two colors in a few scrolls. I decided to give this local brand a try after reading good things about their version of liquid lipsticks.
Each tube costs 195 php. Careline seems to be a good option for teens, so price point is quite low.
Packaging reminds me of Colourpop's. The doe-foot applicator it comes with is in good quality too.

Color
Tutu is a very flattering dark rose color. I bet it would look good on every skin tone.
Wallflower is not for the faint of heart. It's obviously not an everyday, casual shade but I still grabbed it because I was thinking of creating a makeup look with a gray lip.
Both are very true to their color even from the tube and when fully dried. I don't have any problem on pigmentation for Tutu, but Wallflower comes off very streaky. Doing multiple layers is a must to get the full color.
Finish and Formula
These do dry down totally matte. I could feel a bit of tackiness even when dried but nothing irritating. What's more bothering is the dryness on the lips after wearing them for hours. So what I do is, I dab lip balm on just to prevent chapped lips.
I could barely smell something from the tubes or when I'm applying these, which is actually pretty interesting because most, if not all of my liquid lippies have scents.
Application
Only Wallflower is unforgiving. Applying lip liner or another lip color as a base would help, but most likely, you will no longer get the gray color. So what could work is dipping in several times to get rid of the streakiness.
Lasting Power
Both shades do last for several hours and with very minimal transfer. Color fades after a meal, but reapplying is a breeze, at least for Tutu since I haven't tried wearing Wallflower like outside. I don't think I'm ready for some serious judging stare from people. Haha! Nope, not yet! 😆
It is likely that Tutu would be one of my favorites from my liquid lipstick stash.
