It's all about skincare tonight!

I've been using new products for a while now so I thought why not give you guys an update on my skincare routine and share my short reviews in one video.

Here's how I take care of my oily skin, clogged pores and pimples.  If you have the same skin type and skin issues like mine, this routine and the products I've mentioned might work for you too.

Cleansing

When I shower, I'll usually wash my face with my body soap - Kojie San.  Before I hit the sack, I'll use Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam (440 php) if I don't have heavy makeup on.

To ensure that my face is makeup and dirt-free, I double cleanse using Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser (490 php) to melt the product in my face.  In case of any residue and if I feel like cleansing my face during the day, I soak a cotton pad with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (99 php).

Toner

I switch up these two when it comes to toning.  They're both from Althea's skincare line.

Primer Water (550 php) is perfect to prep your face with before applying makeup and Waterful Green Bamboo Pads (700 php) is a multi-purpose product that I recommend for any skin types.

I'm not a fan of heavy creams when it comes to moisturizer, so I opted for Banila Co Dear Hydration Facial Mist (525 php) instead.  It's good to use over makeup too if you want to feel refreshed.

But if my skin needs an extra boost of moisture, I apply Althea Skin Relief Calming Cream (560 php) at night.  It's very lightweight and it doesn't feel greasy, so it's still okay for oily skin.

Sun Protection

For sunscreen, I'd recommend these two.  They're not tacky, no strong fragrance, does not irritate my skin, has SPF 50 and suitable for oily skin type.  The Saem Eco Earth Power Pink Sun Cream (530 php) is light and lotion-like in consistency while Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway (530 php) is more liquidy and has grease-control properties in the formula.

Pore Care

To manage my clogged pores, I would also use AHA BHA-based products aside from the facial scrub.  These are both from Althea again.

I rub on my BHA Blackhead Blaster (240 php) for a quick fix and some other days, I would use Milk Peel Cream Mask, which bubbles up and lathers for a deep cleanse.

To help tighten the pores after getting rid of the junk, I would apply Cosrx Two in One Poreless Power Liquid (1,160 php).  Sometimes, I would also soak a cotton pad and use it as a mask over my nose.  It has an intense cooling effect!

Pimple Care

It's nice to have pimple patches ready because they help in treating inflamed pimple fast and making sure dirt won't irritate it further.  Currently, I have Cosrx in both red and black (280 php).

After popping a zit, I would apply either Quick FX Pimple Eraser (129 php) or Celeteque Acne Spot Corrector Gel (169 php) to dry it out and help heal it faster.

That's it!  I hope you like this new video.  I'd make sure to update you when there are few new ones in the rotation or in case I discover new products that work great with my oily skin and clog-prone pores.

  1. Thank you for sharing your skin care products for oily skin. I also have oily skin and that's why I have lots of pimples on my face. I don't know what products will I put first, for my oily face or for my pimples?

    1. Hello! Excessive oil/grease is one cause of breakouts, so most products for oily skin can help with the pimple problem too (and vice versa). But then, try adding pimple treatments like the ones I mentioned here. :)
