I've always been a frustrated cosplayer.  Hahaha!  Since I don't have the resources to go on full cosplay mode, I just play around with makeup.

Last time I did a Crystal Maiden-inspired look but didn't go for her usual icy colors.  Now, here's my take on Mirana.  Yep, I got a wig for this. 😆

Watch the video here!

I bought the Perfect Diary Wolf eyeshadow palette last year just for this makeup look.  Because of the colors and the theme, it reminded me of Sagan and Mirana.

I was unsure if I could do a proper smokey eyeshadow using the blue shades but I really wanted to make it the main color, so I just ended up layering them all over the lids.  Using the glittery silver shade on the crease was a random idea too but it turned out pretty.  Looks like I did a cut-crease with it.

I also thought I'd do fox-eye but it would just make the look fiercer.  And even though we know that's one of the many words to describe Mirana, I opted to tame her persona for this.  😅

Hope you like this one.  Should we do Lina or Windranger next?

I'll do a separate post for the eyeshadow palette review.

Let me tell you about my favorite matte bullet lipstick.  If you'd ask me, I would say it's my top 1 but that's until I find another one that could beat it.

These are Velvet Click Sticks by Strokes Beauty Lab.  They cost 398 php each but now, you could get them at a discounted price.  There are 9 beautiful shades to choose from.

Color

Spice is a red taupe shade.  It's a perfect MLBB color.
Vittoria is a clay maroon shade.  If you want a brighter everyday lippie, this one's for you.

Finish & Formula

They are so pigmented yet lightweight.  The finish feels and looks like a dream.  It's the kind of velvety matte that does not feel silicone-ish.  It's buttery and blendable.

The best part, they are matte lipsticks that do not cause drought to your lips.  No chapped lips throughout the day!

"A lightweight, blendable velvet matte click lipstick that gives a flawless, rich, and pigmented pop of color for all-day wear. Infused with Vitamin E, Squalane, and Sunflower Seed Oil, it conditions the lips for long-term skin smoothness and softness, and its click stick feature ensures little to no product waste."

Spice

One thing to note though is that these require reapplication after a drink or a meal.  For me, that's no biggie because there's a little bit of stain left and the color still looks beautiful after touch-ups.  It is still easy to apply evenly.

So yep, good thing I bought 2 shades.  And I actually want to try their cream blushes too, especially the shade Fatale.

Here are some products I've tried but didn't make it to my repurchase/recommendation list.  Next time, I will also post about my skincare empties.

By the way, I'm trying out a new format here.  You can also check out my Tiktok feed for quick reviews, unboxing and more. 😉

I finally got my hands on The Ordinary goodies! 😙

There's really something about the brand that made me want to try the products out aside from their price point, of course.  Maybe it is the simplicity from the packaging to the formula.  I think it's also perfect for those who are already familiar with the right ingredients for their skin concerns/type.

As a niacinamide user (using Luxe Organix), I picked their 10% + 1% zinc.  I also threw in their primer and moisturizer to my cart because both are under $10.  By the way, I bought from Sephora US site and had them shipped to PH.

However, there are lots of local resellers on Shopee and I think SM Beauty also sells a few of The Ordinary products.

The niacinamide one is okay.  I actually can't tell the difference between this and the one from Luxe Organix (both the 2% and 10% variants).  So if you need this formula, either one of them works.  Get whichever is available.

The High-Adherence Silicone Primer is not the best blurring/long-lasting primer out there, but the good thing is, it is alcohol-free and oil-free.  I only use it as a light hydrator because I don't like the moisturizer.

The Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA is also alcohol-free and oil-free but it's just too heavy for me.  I don't like layering my oily skin with cream moisturizers.

Overall, I think there are other good alternatives in the drugstore that are also affordable and with the same key ingredients.  However, if these products are easily accessible to you, go ahead and try some.  Other well-rated products from The Ordinary are Glycolic Acid, Peeling Solution and Hyaluronic Acid.

Check out my Tiktok video to see these in action. 😉

Oh yes.  We're back to posting once a month.  Hahaha!  😅

Actually, I'm just trying to keep le blog alive.  Looking back, it felt like a task that I needed to do but of course, enjoying it at the same time.  Now, I have that "whenever you feel like doing it" kind of mood.  I can assure you though that no one's stopping.  Pausing?  Yes, I got a lot of that as you might have noticed in the past few years.  But never quitting. 😉

So here's another set of products I've been trying.  These are the first ones I've tested out from Vice Cosmetics as well.

I got the Aura Cheek Collection which contains a blush, a highlighter and a contour all in powder formula.  The set was on sale too - from 395 to 275 php!

I also grabbed two brushes to use the trio with and they cost 175 php each.  They are both dense brushes and in very nice quality because they have not shed a strand after several months of use.

Aside from using them for the mentioned purpose, I also like applying face/setting powder with them.

Now, the cheek collection.

Porshur is not too orangey for a warm contour.  It doesn't load too much pigment which I like because I prefer building the color for bronzers or contours.

Shimmering is a subtle champagne-tone highlighter.  It looks glittery in person but it looks so pretty in photos/videos.  It is a highlighter that does not blind but I still love how it gives an iridescent, candle-lit glow.

Applauded is a mauve matte blush.  It's easy to blend too and has a better texture than the contour blush.

Here's how the three look powder babies look like under cool lighting.

Here's under warm lighting.

I also made a video on Tiktok (@ichipestano).  Check it out here!

What do you think?  Anything else from Vice Cosmetics you could recommend?
