What's up?!

So I know I owe you a post last week.  I had to skip one just to give way for a new video that I'm cookin' for you.  It's almost done and hopefully, I'd get to upload it on Friday night.  👌

For tonight though, I'm leaving you with another lip tint review.  Here's The Face Shop Watery Tint.

I got mine during the Buy One Get One promo, but individually, I think they are priced at around 250 php.  Not bad for a 5g tube.

Color

Red Up is a true red while Cherry Red is a deeper red with some berry hints to it.

Pigmentation-wise, both are amazing.  They give off a rich, intense color on both cheeks and lips.

Formula

Although the label says "watery", the formula is a bit thicker than usual water-based tints.  It's like borderline gel-like in consistency.  My The Saem Water Tint is actually more liquidy.

They both smell like sweet candy as well, but it's not something strong/irritating.

Application

In these photos, I wore each on the cheeks and lips.

As a cheek tint, they tend to be unforgiving.  Since they are very pigmented, they create stain so easily so you have to be quick in blending and start with a small amount.  Otherwise, you'd probably end up with super red cheeks.  Haha! #putokblushon  😜

To solve that problem, I mix it first with my BB cream to create like a cream blush.  That way, it's way easier to apply it since I get to control the color intensity better.  This is my trick whenever a lip/cheek tint is difficult to blend out.

Application is better on the lips - five seconds and you're done!

Lasting Power

Cherry Red

As expected, color lasts for hours.  Although sometimes, Cherry Red becomes noticeably uneven as it fades.  But both leave a nice stain even after eating/drinking.

I have to say, I like both but I grab Cherry Red more often.  Anyway, both colors are pretty and perfect for that "lakas maka-fresh" look. 😚

We're almost down to the last six months of the year and just when I thought I've gotten off track, life surprises me with something bigger than I could ever ask for.  I can't tell you just yet but stick around because I might be able to document the whole thing. 😉

Anyhoo, here's another lipstick review.  If you're struggling with the gradient lip look, maybe this one could do the trick.

I bought my Two-Tone Lip Bar on Althea online shop for 1,230 php.  There's actually a Laneige booth in SM Megamall Department Store but I don't know the price.  Yes, it's expensive for a lipstick (like I could buy 3 with that already) but the brand is kinda on the high-end side, so there. 🙆

Color

There are many options but I picked the shade Milk Blurring after checking swatches online.  The idea is to have two ombré-perfect colors in one bullet that would create gradient lips in one swipe.

I got a vibrant red shade and it's paired with white/translucent for that really faded outer part.

Application

As you can see, it creates a pretty, seamless color gradient so you only need to position the lipstick correctly.  If there's unevenness (which is very unlikely), you can either put your lips together or tap it with your finger to blend it out.  Sometimes, I also like to use it as a normal lippie and go for a full lip.

It's a no-brainer kind of lipstick.  Not a must-have, I admit because you can do ombré lips with a regular lipstick and of course, lip tints.  Nevertheless, I still like the concept.

Finish & Formula

It is very moisturizing and that's what I love most about it.  No need for lip balm!

As for the finish, it has some sheen to it so the lips don't look dry.

Lasting Power

It leaves a nice stain so even after a meal, you could still have slightly tinted lips.  It's like a lip tint in a bar form.  😚

The only thing I would consider as a minor weak point about this product is the packaging.  I don't know.  I just don't dig the plastic casing because "it's Laneige".  Other than that, I like this lippie overall.  It delivers what you don't usually get from lip tints - easy-peasy gradient application and hydrated lips.

I don't know about you, but when I'm at Watson's, I usually spend a good one hour hopping from one booth to another to check out new releases and other good stuff I've been seeing in my Instagram or Facebook feed.  I always know my "I only need soap and shampoo" would turn into a lie the moment I pass by the makeup stalls.  Hahaha!  Who's guilty?  😆

Anyhoo, one day I spotted a good deal by Careline.  It's in almost every Watson's branch.  They're selling their Kiss Sticks for only 99 php each.  I got 3 shades and also grabbed their most-raved about liquid eyeliner.

I'll feature the lipsticks next time. 😉

Many say this is a tough one and I couldn't agree more.  It creates an intense black line that stays put on my oily lids.  Unless I rub it, it does not budge.  Surprisingly, it could withstand teary eyes and eyedrops too.  No messy, panda eyes with this one.

It's designed to be a felt/marker type.  Actually, I'm more used to brush tips when it comes to eyeliner because it's easier to tight-line if the applicator is more on the flexible side.  This one is a bit bendy too, but such applicator is more for bold, dramatic lines and sexy cat eyes.

There's definitely a learning curve when using felt-tip eyeliners than with brush-tips.  I always make sure to use a light hand so I could start off with a thin line.

Aside from the fact that it's a super affordable, long-lasting, pigmented eyeliner, I like that instead of smearing, it becomes flaky so when it's time to remove it, there's no mess or black stain.

As you can see, it creates sharp edges and this is the width after one stroke.  The finish is not totally matte and it dries fast.

The only struggle I have with this is having better control.  I'm also still learning how to easily make a pointy end, so I hope they come up with a brush-tip version of this eyeliner pen.

Nevertheless, Graph-Ink does all the other good, more important stuff you'd want in an eyeliner.  I mean, for only 170 php, you'd get a reliable pen that guarantees no smudging all day.  Also, if you prefer felt-tips, I highly recommend this one.
