At some point in our lives, we would find ourselves in the middle of life-changing decisions, drowned in contemplation of what seems to be pointless weighing of pros and cons.

Maybe it's so monumental, it scares us.  Maybe it's a simple yes-or-no, yet we're still on the fence.  It's inevitable nonetheless and we just gotta take a step forward in one way or another.

How I wish everything could be answered in just a flip of a coin.  How I wish the universe could give a sign.  Or maybe I don't need it after all?  Maybe I know what I want deep down?

There have been times when I've made decisions out of fear.  It's like choosing a deceiving well-paved road over an eerie-looking path.  Now, I've come to realize that the scarier it makes me feel, the more likely things would turn out better.  As ironic as it sounds, it's like "it scares the hell out of me but it feels right".

I guess it’s totally fine if I can’t figure out what I really want in life just yet and which path I should take.  I’ll be on the lookout for signs because I know the universe would reveal it exactly when I need it.  The least I could do is work my way through my plans.  Each baby step should lead me to my goals.  And if ever my decision turns out to be wrong, which will happen for sure because I tend to be impulsive and careless (haha), things would eventually work out fine.  If not, well... what the hell.  Another lesson learned.

So yea, trust the signs.  Trust the process.  Trust your gut.

So this is how REAL, work-free weekend feels like.  Downside is, I have to deal with the crazy Saturday traffic.  Pft.

Anyway, here are 4 K-Beauty mask sheets that I've accumulated in the past couple of months.

I usually grab a pack or two whenever I visit Korean cosmetic stores or when shopping online.  I'm not a very regular user though.  It's not part of my daily nor weekly skincare routine, but I make sure to throw one on if I feel like my skin is acting up.

I've already tried a bunch of masks and I could say that one common thing about them is the boost of moisture.  Of course, others could do more than just hydrating your skin.  There are tons of variants to choose from and there's no such thing as hoarding when it comes to mask sheets.  Haha! 😀

A'Pieu Silk Blanket Mask in Gold

No chicken was harmed when these masks were made.  Haha!  😄

The sheet is rather paper-like rather than cotton.  I was intrigued at first because it didn't feel like the product was well-absorbed.  It didn't feel snug as well compared to the typical cottony sheets.

Formula contains egg yolk which is known for pore-tightening, royal jelly extract and Camellia flower oil to give you more radiant skin.

Gram Double Chemi Banban Mask

This one's the most interesting out of the bunch.  Banban means "half-half" in Korean (or at least something like that) so the mask itself comes in two parts.

The top part which is t-shaped is for the t-zone and the bottom one is for the u-zone.  Expectedly, this is one of the best choices when you're dealing with a combination skin type.

I think what this mask does is pretty much self-explanatory so let's move onto the next.

Skinature Bird Nest Mask

I also enjoyed using this one though I admit, I had a "huh" moment after knowing that the key ingredient is bird nest.  I thought the weirdest was snake venom - the mask I showed you in one of my haul videos.  Haha!  😆

The sheet adhered well on skin and the formula was not sticky.  I even used it as a daytime moisturizer.

Hello Skin Jumiso Water-Splash Mask

Now, this won the Cutest Packaging award.  😉

The cottony sheet sticks to the face AF.  Like you could dance or do yoga and it still won't budge.

Key ingredients include shea butter, lotus plant extract, hyaluronic acid and ceramide.  It also comes with a mesh which you are supposed to remove after securing the cotton sheet.

That's all!

I've browsed Althea website and didn't find any of these, so maybe they're out of stock.  Anyway, there are a lot of other options including the ones from more familiar brands.

This is a nice bunch of mask sheets - all recommended!  If I were to choose favorites, my top picks would be the Jumiso one and the Banban mask.

Another hectic month has passed.  All I could recall was how I struggled with my errands and all the move-in shiz I needed to do.  Damn, that was hard.  Sometimes, I would give myself a quick pep talk whenever I get tired and when things get so stressful.  #imastrongindependentwomanrepeat100x 😛

But I made it.  And with that, I think I deserve a pat on the back.

I realized that there'd be times when everything would seem overwhelming and unattainable.  Getting things done on your own could take twice the effort from you.  And that's the time to ask for help.  Four hands are still better than two, right?

Anyhoo, that pretty much explains why I only got to publish one blogpost last month.  Ugh, I badly need time management skills.  😝

Now, onto today's featured product, here's another concealer from a K-beauty brand called Aritaum.

The product is housed in a tube packaging.  It's easy and not messy to dispense.

I chose the lighter shade called Light Beige over Natural.

Coverage seems nice but there's something off about the formula that makes it difficult to blend and even out.  This concealer contains too much oil I guess.  It kind of moves around as you buff it so the result, it thins out.

It also feels a bit heavy compared to my other liquid concealers and it comes off dewy rather than matte and flat.

with powder

Another reason why I don't use this concealer anymore is because of the tiny bumps I got.  Like I said before, that's how my skin usually reacts with products I'm not compatible with.

Maybe this one would suit dry skin better.  Too bad it didn't work well for me and it seems like it just sits on top.  If it did however, that would be freaking amazing because for a concealer that costs 290 php and comes in a big tube like this, that could be hard to beat.

You can get this and other Aritaum products on Althea website.
