Skin Care 101 - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

by - July 08, 2015

Hey, guys!  What's up?

As previously shared, I have a travel video coming up in the next few days.  And for sure you have an idea what it is about because of my recent trip in Cebu.  So, stay tuned loves!

Anyway, for today I thought of doing a quick mini review about this mini guy right here.

This made an appearance in my April and May haul video.  If you've missed that, watch it here.

I've seen Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion years ago in my Tita's vanity drawer.  I remember trying it out and I recall it as the "yellow moisturizer".  So yes, the brand has been in the cosmetics world for decades.  It's a classic one.  No introduction needed.

I saw it in a pump packaging before so I think this size is only available for their Gift With Purchase bags.

I believe this is an improved version of the original one.  They added skin strengthening properties to the formula.

People with very dry to dry combination skin type can use this moisturizer day and night, or more frequently as needed.  This product claims to provide optimal moisture balance and deliver twice the hydration all day.

I love how lightweight it is!  It glides on very smoothly with a lotion-ish type of consistency.  It is also fast-absorbing and doesn't leave a greasy surface.

It makes the skin instantly soft and hydrated.  No sticky feel as well, which is a top item in my moisturizer checklist - definitely something that I would love to have in my daytime skincare routine.  But if you have extremely oily skin, their gel version might be better for you.

I didn't encounter any irritation too and of course, it's fragrance-free, a Clinique's trademark.  Well, it has a subtle scent that goes away as you apply but not the annoying and strong perfume-ish type.

Overall, it's a basic moisturizer that does its job very well.  No SPF so you'd need a separate layer of sun protection.  I expected it to be a really thick cream because it targets dry skin so I was surprised how comfortable and soothing it feels on the skin.

No wonder why it always has been a cult-classic and a top favorite.

As it's from a high-end brand, expect a hefty price tag.  I think the 50 ml retails at 800++ php and the bigger bottle is at 1,000++ php.

What do you think?  Have you tried this moisturizer?

Btw, I haven't tested out the other stuff included in the bag except for the lippie and compact.  I'll post the reviews for each soon.  :)
