HAHA! :)

I'm super excited to share to you a blog post of the one and only Laureen Uy about our shop.

She picked this black and yellow sleeveless sheer polo from the June Collection.

She paired it with another stripey long dress and rocked the Japanese-y look!  Horizontal plus vertical stripes in action!

Remember how I matched this top with the black sheer palazzo pants?  You can check it here.  This bottom is still available and on sale!!!

To read more about her post, check here.  Personally, I really loved her look because it's edgy and fun.

Here you go, another batch of apps you would want to download. :)

1. Zombie HQ

I'm not sure if this is because I'm currently addicted to The Walking Dead TV series.  This game reminds me of Resident Evil.  It's very easy, just kill the zombies before they kill you. :D

2. Real Football 2012

Introducing.... my newest sport!  FOOTBALL!!! Hooray!  Just because I can't get enough of our weekend practices, I downloaded this game.  And I have to say, I learned a lot by playing this. :)  I even bought coins/money to buy more stamina.  You need that in order to proceed to a game, but don't worry, you can replenish it.

3. Madcoaster

I love this!!! It's a simple game but very challenging!  I can't get to 4000m right now...HAHA!  Help! :) You just have to get as much coins as you can, hit the birds and all animals in your way and avoid falling!  Please try this!

4. Battery Doctor

I really recommend this app.  It will help you preserve your battery life.  I didn't know that we need at least 1 full cycle every month.

5. Where's My Water?

Let us help swampy to get his well-deserved shower time!  HAHA!

6. 100 Floors

Remember Doors?  If you're into putting your brain to a serious workout, try this game!  We're stuck at Level 39!! :)

Hope you enjoy these apps!  Good luck!

As promised, here's the review of each product from the Get The Look Kit.  If you haven't seen my video tutorial yet, you can check it here.  I also posted some "after" photos here.

Let's start with the eye shadow brush.  It's soft but I noticed that some strands fall.  This is the same with the white version, but it never happened to that brush.

Here's the white version.  I bought it from E.L.F. as well.

I love this brush because it really picks up the eye shadow and it blends well.  Now, let's check out their mascara.

It is called Lengthening & Defining Mascara.  Too bad I can't really show you how it works because the tube I received was already dry.  :(

A piece of advice... don't spend too much on mascaras because of their short life span.

See?  It's dry already... :(

The wand shape is normal.  I really felt bad because I can't use it anymore.  When I saw this, I immediately checked the liquid eyeliner because I thought it could be dry as well.  No, it's not. Yay!

At first, I was kinda skeptical if it will not turn me into a raccoon at the end of the day.  But hey, you can really trust this product.

It's very black!  I love it!  Plus, the applicator really helps me to create a more stable line.

Another thing I love about this eyeliner is that, even if my lash line hits my upper eyelid it doesn't cause "stain".

This liquid eye liner can last all day but not with too much heat that can cause you sweat.

Next, the mascara curler.  I really recommend this E.L.F. product to you.  If you are looking for a curler, but don't want to spend too much (of course...HAHA) then, this is the best product to buy!

This curler takes the most of your lashes.  The last item, the eye shadow trio palette.

Sorry, it looks a bit messy here.  I used it already as you know...HAHA!  I just love how pigmented this trio is.

Actually, this is my first E.L.F. eye shadow and I'm happy about it.  :) I also noticed that it is anti-creasing!  I applied it one work day and it survived.

There you have it!  If you're into brown eye makeup, this kit is for you!  You can grab this at your favorite E.L.F. store for only 399.75 pesos.  Super nice!

What do you think?

One Thursday, I received a very good news.  One email said that I won an online raffle.  I thought it was just a spam because I really have no luck in winning such raffles or contests.  Well maybe, just maybe... the sun has risen from West that morning...HAHA!

It was from E.L.F. Philippines!!!  Little did I realize that I entered their online giveaway.  I was one of the lucky 10 winners of this Get the Look Kit!  It is a 5 piece brown eye set.  This is perfect for girls who are always on-the-go or for makeup beginners.

More of this kit on my next post, so stay tuned! :D

So, let's get down to business.  One boring Sunday night, I decided to film and feature this gift from E.L.F.  Finally, my iPhone put itself to use. HAHA!

Sorry for the angle and low video quality.  Promise, I tried my best!  :D  Disclaimer alert!  I'm no makeup artist and expert, but hope you enjoy this tutorial.

This kit basically includes all eye makeup that you will need.  I'm not sure though if they are selling this, but what I do know is that the individual products here is available in your favorite E.L.F. branch.

If you have an eye shadow with this color, you can try these easy steps.  This makeup look is so simple.  You can wear it for office, night out or for other events.

Enjoy!

I already cleansed my face by applying toner and moisturizer.  I also applied concealer and thin foundation prior.

I'm not into foundation, so you'll notice that there's no enough coverage.  Forgive me as well for my eye bags... :(  I can't do anything about it.  HAHA! :D

Read along... :)

1. Eyebrow - To keep it natural-looking, I opted for powder.  I'm using a matte brown eye shadow (like everyday!).  That's a good thing about makeup.  You don't have to buy each and every single one of them.  You can always look for an alternative.

Choose an eye shadow that's brown enough..not too dark!  (but it's up to you)  Light brown is okay as long as it's buildable.

2. Eye shadow - Using the eye shadow brush from the kit, apply the mid color all over your lids.  Next, using a smaller brush, apply the darkest color on the corner of your eyes.  This will instantly add definition.  Don't worry about the harsh edges, we'll blend it later.  Always start from the corner and bring the color in an inward motion.

We're going to ask help from our other E.L.F. friends here, so next, grab a blending brush and using the mid color again, blend the edges out.  Just very lightly, sweep until you achieve a softer edge and smokey finish.  Apply some on the middle of your lids as well to intensify the color.

Take the eye shadow brush once more and use the lightest color to highlight the eyes.  Apply some on the inner corner and brow bone.  You can also sweep some to soften the outer corners.  Just make sure that you don't erase it. :)

Using a flat brush, apply the darkest color on the lower lash line.  This will balance out the eye makeup.  You don't want your eyes to appear too top heavy.  Don't forget to blend as you sweep inwards and stop on about 3/4 of your eyes.

Now, using the lightest color, do the same for the inner corner.

3. Eyeliner - This is always the hardest part for your shaky hands, but trust me, all you need is pratice. :)

One useful tip is to rest your pinky finger as you go along.  This will make the application more stable.  Start from the middle and connect the lines slowly.

If your lash line touches your upper eye lid when you open your eyes, let the eye liner dry first by looking down.

4. Mascara - Use the curler and mascara from the kit.  Here, I used falsies because my lashes are short and thin.

5. Powder - Apply your favorite powder.  This will set the liquid makeup like foundation and concealer in.

6. Blush - I'm not a blush fan, but here, I applied a thin amount on the apple of my cheeks while blending it out.  I suggest to use an old rose color or even bronzer for this eye shadow color.

7. Lipstick - It's not shown in the video, but I applied lip balm and lip liner first.  My fave lip look is the matte finish and I do that by following the steps here.

Apply your lipstick as normal and dab on some powder.  Finish it by applying lip liner.

8. Smile - Lastly, the most awkward part of the tutorial.  The end clips for pa-cute shots...HAHA!

That's it!  Hope this helps!  Thank you E.L.F. for this amazing kit!

If you like to be their next winner... and I know you sure do... like their OFFICIAL FB Page here.

I'm really an E.L.F. fan not just because of their effective and good quality makeup products but most importantly, it's very affordable.  Even students can buy without hurting their baon. :)

Please watch out for my next post because we'll take a closer look at each eye makeup included in the kit.  I'll also share the "after" photos!  Yay!

The nearest major malls from our house are Trinoma and SM North EDSA.  That's why if it's already time for a pedicure, I don't have to go somewhere else and suffer from more heavy traffic. Apparently, there are only few nail spas in these malls.  SM The Block has Tips 'N Toes, Nail Spa and some other salon/beauty shops that offer nail services.  Trinoma has Beauty Bar, but I think they only do hands.  I'm not sure.

I didn't like Tips 'N Toes and it was super difficult to find a slot in Nail Spa, so I got frustrated.  Time for me to try out the others.

I was with Jaela and we were searching for a new playhouse to try.  I passed by this spa at SM Main (3rd Floor) called Laxare.

They have reasonable price for their services.  If I remember correctly, a pedicure costs 170 but they require 50 pesos extra charge for their branded nail polish.  Quite expensive, huh?

The foot and hand services are done at the open area after the reception.  The body massage and all other spa services are done inside.

Of course, they will soak your feet in warm water.  I liked the smell of their soap. :)  The cleaning part was quite fast but it was good.

For the nail color, I chose pastel hues from ORLY, of course.  They have a lot.

These babies are named Gumdrop and Cotton Candy from Orly's Sweet Spring Collection.  I spent 100 pesos since I picked two branded.

So, how did I use both?  Ah, well.. just alternate.. HAHA!

What do you think of my pastel nails? HAHA! :D

I always mention here in MUAH that it should be your habit to keep your brushes clean.  They touch our face and put not only makeup, but bacteria as well.  Yes, it's true. :)

I admit, I don't wash my brushes every week.  (Tamad lang...HAHA!)  I was browsing one of my fave makeup brand's website and found this daily brush cleaner.  Perfect!

I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and of course, I'd like to share my review. :)

I noticed that it works well with non-synthetic brushes.  I applied some on my concealer/foundation brush, from E.L.F. too!  It removed the liquid formula by rubbing a tissue.

Now, with a non synthetic brush, this was the result of rubbing without the cleaner.

Sorry, guys... out of focus. :)  I hope you can still notice the effect of spraying the cleaner.

This anti-bacterial cleaner disinfects your brushes and it's perfect when you want a quick way to clean them especially in between makeup application.  When you take care of your brushes, tendency is.. they will last longer. :)  Thus, it will save you few more bucks.

Okay, so let's break it down a bit.

What I like about it?
- the scent (it's not strong, I love the smell actually)
- good value for money
- very handy
- works well with non-synthetic brushes
- removes at least 80% of makeup residue
- anti-bacterial

What I don't like about it?
- leaks sometimes
- doesn't clean 100% (it's recommended to still wash your brush at least once a week)
- doesn't work well with synthetic brushes

Overall: 6/9 stars

I'm not so sure if this is already available here in Manila, but if you want to try... please visit our FB shop... very affordable! :)
