This has been the busiest and craziest month of my year so far.  Things have gotten very overwhelming and it's just so damn hard for me to keep up.  However, despite of juggling a lot of stuff currently, I'm still trying my best to find time to publish a post at least once a week.  As much as I want to rest or catch up on K-dramas and other TV shows whenever I get some free time, I would work on le blog instead.  Your girl got some dedication, huh?  Hahaha!  😊

In case you're wondering where's my video for June, please wait a little more.  I would make sure to upload it before the 30th.  Yep, that's my deadline.  Haha!

Meanwhile, I'm gonna talk about these matte lipsticks by Celeteque.  These are the ones I used in my video featuring 3 makeup looks.

Each costs 595 php.  Honestly, they're a little more expensive compared to other drugstore brands but if you find that other cheaper ones are too drying, you might still want to try these.

Color

Nude is definitely my favorite from this bunch.  It's a peachy nude - so pretty!  If I want a bit more color but still want MLBB effect, I'd go for this instead of my usual brown nudes.

Ruby is a crimson red similar to Mac's Ruby Woo.

Wine is a berry color.

All 3 of them are pigmented.  I was actually surprised that even Nude gives a nice color payoff.

Formula and Finish

These are not 100% flat matte lipsticks.  There's a tad bit of shine but with Nude, it's almost unnoticeable.

The formula contains Vitamin E, which helps prevent chapping and dryness.  I've used them many times already and so far, they haven't made my lips flaky.

I find them comfortable to wear even if they're not the most lightweight lippies and not the velvetty kind.  Compared to liquid lipsticks and other ultra-matte lipsticks, they don't make the lips appear wrinkly too.

Application

They are also not the creamy type so there's a bit of tugging.  Also, Ruby and Wine are harder to apply neatly as expected.  They don't bleed though.  They just get messy when I'm trying to clean up the edges. Better to use a brush when blending the color.

Lasting Power

All of them are not transfer nor budge-proof but they leave a bit of stain except Nude.

I'd say that these are better than the Revlon Matte Balm that I have tried before.  These do not create nasty stuff in the inner corners and they appear more matte.

The application could be tricky except for Nude.  Ruby and Wine could appear patchy on the first swipe but when you start building the color, they would look great.

No doubt, I would recommend Nude in case you wanna buy one from the collection.  It's a typical color but still, you'd need one!  Haha!  It's so flattering and could be paired with any eye makeup. 😍

That's all for the Celeteque makeup posts!  Here are my top picks:

  • CC Powder
  • Matte Lipstick in Nude
  • Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Brown
  • Primer
  • Eyebrow Kit in Medium Brown

What do you think?  Have you tried any makeup from the brand?

In my BeautyMNL haul video, I mentioned that I got a freebie because of the liquid lipsticks that I bought from the brand Detail.  In case you don't know, it's a local brand that sells really affordable makeup products.  You can find them in Trinoma or online.

This costs 245 php for 150 ml, but on BeautyMNL, it's only 175 now.  Go grab one if you're running low on makeup remover!

Apart from the packaging, something is written in Hangul too so I initially thought it was a Korean product.

It has a nice soapy, floral scent.  The formula is similar to those makeup removers that have like floating oil, so you need to give it a good shake first.  I didn't notice it immediately because it is colorless.

It can really remove all of my makeup even waterproof ones and the tough liquid lipsticks I wear.  I find that it leaves a silky surface, almost greasy but there's no film of oil whatsover.  My skin would just feel really soft.

So far, it hasn't irritated my eyes and skin as well.  It also feels refreshing just like the name says.

Overall, I would really recommend this makeup remover for its price, quality of packaging and simply because, it gets the job done while making your skin still moisturized.  I'm enjoying it!  😊

The post about their liquid lipstick (I have 2 shades) will be up soon.  I actually wanna try their blushes coz I heard they're great.

I also encourage you to support more homegrown brands.  #lovelocal

Here's my first official trip this 2017.  I spent one long weekend in the city of pines with le squad back in April.

I actually had no plans of doing a post about this trip, but I thought I'd share some photos and mention places (which most of you know of already haha) you can check out in case you want to go to the north and experience Baguio even if summer season is almost over.

We rented a unit in Megatower Residences through Airbnb.  It's only two hills blocks away from Session Road and few tumblings away from SM mall.  We only paid around 3,000 per person for 3 nights.

Btw, if you wanna save money on your Airbnb booking, use this link to sign up. 😉

First stop, Baguio Craft Brewery.

It was a fun place and the beer was perfect for that chilly night.  Everything was quite expensive though.

You can choose from at least 10 kinds of craft beers and they also allow customers to taste what they want first before ordering.

Another thing I loved here was the salsa.  It's bomb. 💣

Since we weren't in a hotel and there's no free breakfast, we had to go to a nearby cafe.  There's this rustic themed one that serves Vietnamese and Italian coffee.  It's called The Coffee Library.

Service was a bit slow but overall, food and drinks were good.  You must try their fried suman!

After brunch, we rode a taxi to Tam-awan Village.  The place resembles a native or traditional village of the Cordillera region.  It reminded me of the one we saw in Banaue.

Entrance fee was around 50 pesos.

After that, we went to Bencab museum for some art appreciation moment.  Haha!  😄

We paid for around 120 or 150 php upon entry.

If I remember correctly, there were 4 floors and 1 was for the cafe.

You could see various artwork here from painting, sculpture, mixed media and more.  I actually didn't expect that I would enjoy that museum experience.  I ended up wanting to visit another one in the future.

Our last stop for that day - Camp John Hay to try a restaurant called Choco-late de Batirol.

Either the bibingka or suman was perfect to pair with the chocolatiest hot choco I've ever tried so far. 😊

The following day, we attempted to go to the strawberry farm but due to bad hangover, we woke up late and had to spend the whole afternoon waiting to be seated at Cafe by the Ruins.  Ugh. 😭

Hopefully, next time I would get to pick fresh strawberries.  It was my 4th trip to Baguio as far as I can remember but still, no chance to visit La Trinidad.

So that's all!  Do you know any other places to check out in Baguio?  Comment below! 😃

When I first heard about how budge-proof this eyeliner is, I immediately put it in my What to Buy list.  My K-Palette one has been good to me especially on the application part, but I really needed something more badass and would survive my oily lids.

I got my Hypersharp Wing eyeliner at a discounted price during a Maybelline promo.  I couldn't recall the exact amount but I'm pretty sure it's nothing over 300 or maybe slightly over than that.  😏

It only comes in black color, same with its elder sister, the original Hypersharp.

I was thinking of buying both, but the Maybelline lady at the counter also told me that more people buy this purple b*tch (wing) than the yellow one (OG).  Since I only wanted to try the formula first and the name of the product seems perfect for what I would like to do with my eyeliner, I went home with this one.

The top swatch was done using the flatter side while the bottom was done when I turned the pen sideways.  As you can see you can create 2 lines with different thickness.

The brush is also a bit bendy.  Some people like that in eyeliners, some people don't.  Personally, I prefer a slightly stiffer brush because it gives me more control.  If I apply too much pressure as I draw my flick, it is sometimes hard to be precise and create a very sharp tip.

And when I'm perfecting the tip of my wing, I always make sure to flip the brush sideways to create a thinner line.  If I draw with the flatter side, it's impossible to get that pointy flick.

I also noticed that it dispenses more product compared to my K-Palette eyeliner, so I always make sure I use a very light hand and draw the line fast.  Maybe the product is too liquidy?

The intensity of the color is pretty good for a drugstore eyeliner.  It's almost jet black and matte.

Sure, the application is a bit tricky on my case.  I'm still not used to it to be honest, but in terms of lasting power, damn, I'm speechless.

I didn't expect that for its price, it would last the entire day without rubbing or anything like that.  There's very minimal fading on the outer corner and that's maybe because that area could easily get wet if you suddenly became teary-eyed or something.  Other than that, there's no flaking whatsoever.  When it's time to take it off, it can be removed easily with any makeup remover, micellar water or facial cleanser.  It doesn't leave stain as well.

By the way, I wore this to an event where I literally cried (happy tears because of Jay Park hahaha 😂) but the flick stayed on point.

I'm really impressed!

If you want to see Hypersharp Wing in action, watch my video here and here.

What do you think?  Have you tried the original one?  Is it good too?

I'm actually more used to crayons and pencils but when Celeteque sent these to me, I thought why not play around with wax and powder more.  So if I'm going for a really soft-looking brows, I use one of these kits.

I got two shades - Medium and Deep Brown.  I'm not sure if there's a Light Brown kit though.

These have the same packaging as with the eyeshadow palettes and each kit comes with a mirror and a dual-ended brush.  The angled one is actually nice since it's thin, which helps shape the brows.

I initially thought Medium Brown would be too light for me, so I set it aside for a while and used Deep Brown.  Later on, I realized that the latter is too dark and it creates a thicker-looking brows, and even if I put brow tint on top, it still wouldn't match my hair color.

So lately, I've been using the lighter one and I love the taupe color it gives.

Medium Brown

I also like the powder here because I can use it as a transition shade.  Sometimes, I would apply it on my crease to create a subtle contour.

The wax is not too pigmented but that's a good thing for me though, because the color looks softer and more natural.  Besides, there's the powder to fill in the brows and the wax is more for shaping.  Well, at least that's how I use them.

Deep Brown

I also sometimes use the powder here as an eyeshadow.

In terms of lasting power, they come off easily but only if you really wipe them off.  I have oily skin and the color doesn't budge even after several hours.  So as long as you don't rub them off, they would stay put.  A long-lasting brow mascara would also help prolong the product in your brows.

Both waxes look very similar but once you fill in your brows with the powder, there would be a difference in color.

They're both okay and I guess I could use any of them, but I find myself grabbing Medium Brown more often.

Overall, they do a pretty good job and they are kilay beginner-friendly.  I forgot to check out the price, but if they cost 300 to 400 php like most drugstore brow kits, then I would likely recommend them.  If you're into soft and natural brows, you'd love these.

Now that I'm done with my Sephora video, it's time to plan the next one for June.  Hopefully, I would be able to keep this pace and publish at least one video per month.  Well, as long as weekends are work-free, I think it would be doable.

Until the next video, which by the way is most likely to be a makeup tutorial (ehem, ehem 😏), expect a series of product reviews as usual.  I have a lot to test out like a bunch of lipsticks, Korean skincare and more.  You can also follow me on Facebook because I always share my new post there.

Today, I'm gonna briefly talk about my current lip balm, contact lenses and mask sheets.

Carmex Strawberry Click Stick Lip Balm (139 php on BeautyMNL)

I had to make a switch and choose a lip balm that has built-in SPF.  I think it's best to opt for something that gives sun protection while keeping my lips moisturized (and smelling like strawberries 😊).  So, if you know you're going to be exposed to the sun like when you're at the beach or doing any outdoor activity, protect your lips with this and of course, don't forget your sunscreen!

On an everyday basis, I apply this right after my skincare so once I do my makeup and ready to put on my lipstick, my lips will be smooth and prepped.

If I don't have anything on top of it, the moisture would last for hours.  Otherwise, I would feel dryness.  Well, except for some moisturizing lippies.  Liquid lipsticks though are always the baddie, that's for sure.  Haha!  😄

The only watch-out is how ultra-waxy it is.  Sometimes, it makes lipstick application patchy.  What I do is, I wipe it off completely before lipstick, lip tint, whatever then, I will just re-apply in the middle of the day when I need to.

Four Beauties Wrinkle and Soothing Mask from Yeppunnonie PH

I got these when I joined a raffle for an event back in January.

First thing I noticed is the packaging.  It seems unusual because I normally see the key ingredient like honey, rice, aloe, etc.

I didn't like the Wrinkle Mask because it gave me a pimple.  They are both very moisturizing though.

The sheet is also different because it is thicker and doesn't seem like a cottony material.

Sparkle Contact Lens Natural Glow in Brown 14.2 (bought on Shopee - lespeleno2)

Quick side note, I got new specs from Sunnies last week and I'm loving them!  I was looking for this design for so long and it was a perfect timing because I accidentally broke my old glasses.  Don't ask how.  Hahaha!  #clumsyqueen 😃

So this pair is my "backup eyes" and I would only wear it when I'm filming, when I need to wear sunglasses or when I'm the mood for a brown eyes.  Hahaha!  😜

Here's a comparison - a photo from my Double Eyelid post.

These have a lower grade so things still look a bit blurry.  I can't let go though because they are pretty (okay, why am I writing a poem here hahahaha 😁).

I prefer lenses like these as they look natural but still give an effect.  They are very comfortable too.  I'm planning to buy the gray color actually.

So that's all!  I have a new post tomorrow so drop by again, okay? 💗

Have a good weekend, world!
