Here's a recap of my 2012.  As I do this post, I feel so blessed and grateful for all the blessings I've received.  As this new year unfolds, let's keep all the good vibes and say hello to 2013 with a big big big smile on our face.

Singapore Trip

This happened December 2011, but I wasn't able to include this on my New Year post last time.  I really thank Poy for taking me to this amazing place.  It's my first outside of the country trip and it's special for me.  :)

An Awesome Blessing

I still can't believe this.  It may be a simple and small photo on a billboard, but for me.... it's a once in a lifetime thing.  I didn't have the chance to see this personally though.....why oh why?!!!!

Your Sweetest Drug on EDSA.... WHAT?!

My First Reward

Being a blogger is not an easy task.  (parang kanta lang) You have to really invest time and effort. Sometime in February, I received my first ever reward as a blogger.  Nail Spa Lounge by Ellabell treated me with their signature Prima Donna foot spa.  I was really surprised when they told me about this. :D

A Shoot

This photo shoot was very memorable because I was able to work with an excellent photographer, a very kind stylist/director and makeup artist.  I enjoyed this shoot and felt very happy because the photos turned out great.  I really learned a lot.

The Chic Closet

With the help of Kris, my Ate Chamie and my Tita, I was able to start my online shop.  It's a tough one actually because again, I need to give it an extra push.  That means, more time and effort.  We are close to reaching one thousand likes!  Yay!  I'm also happy because I got to see our clothes in some of the top fashion blogs.  Thank you Ms. Laureen Uy, Ms. Vern and Verniece Ensico for collaborating with us.

Boracay July 2012

It's a very memorable trip because for the first time, I went along with my family and of course, Kris again.  See you there on 2013!

TOUCHDOWN: Boracay - The Second Visit

I Love You, BIGBANG!

This year, I was able to watch 2 concerts.  I saw BLUE, A1 and 98 Degrees performed at Araneta and of course............. my bad boys (chos!!).... BIGBANG!!  It was a crazy night!  I cried, shouted, laughed, smiled and fell in love...HAHA!

LOOKBOOK - BIGBANG

I just came from my Cebu-Bohol trip with Kris' family and Kuya Vince.  I'll share that on my next Touch Down post.

That's my 2012!  I've experienced a lot of heartbreaks, but no regrets at all.  I trust God for everything and I know He has plans for me and all of the things that happened... good or bad... must come to pass for me to grow and become a better person.  I've been in the lowest point of my life.... been depressed but after that... I'm here and I'm stronger than ever.  I have learned the true meaning of acceptance and forgiveness.

I feel a lot more complete now having the love of my life.  Every now and then, it's like we're in a battle, but hand in hand, we keep on fighting.  To my sweetest baby, thank you so much for loving me unconditionally and for staying even if it's easier to give up.  I love you!!! <3

Lastly, I also want to thank my readers (if there's any...HAHA!).  I hope that my blog helps you to feel more confident about yourself, to find the best food, to visit the most interesting places, to be chic always and to just enjoy life. :)

Cheers to 2013!!!  Be excited and happy!!! :)  I wish you and your family a very happy new year!

We had a quick getaway to Tagaytay last month and took some photos as well for The Chic Closet's holiday collection.  If you haven't checked our latest set, visit our shop.  :)

Actually, we were also planning to try a famous food spot there.  For this week's Burp Guide post, let me share to you our experience at the Bag of Beans.

a very nice black and white photo by Kris

this shot reminds me of horror houses.. hohohoh..

This top Tagaytay resto is the perfect spot if you want good food and a quiet time with your family, friends or special someone.  We came there around dinner time and gladly, there were only a few people inside.  They also decorated the place so we felt the Christmas spirit already.  :)

Thumbs up for the ambiance... really peaceful and relaxing.

These lamps welcomed us.  The lights made the place very dramatic.

During weekdays, you can choose these comfy cabanas without the consumable fee.

Since it's already dark, expect some mosquitoes to join you.  :P  But they have coil under the tables to shoo them away.

They also have this area aside from the ones outside.

The place can really accommodate any number of customers.

Since I've already shown you the place, let's now check out the food.

We were looking for a light dinner, but ended up with a heavy meal.

It was really a cold night and I decided to try their coffee.  I heard that they have the best mix.

No questions asked, I ordered their best seller... Freshly Brewed House Blend (105 pesos).  They serve it with milk and sugar.

It tasted like homemade coffee.  It's a bit strong so I had to add two cups of milk.

Foamy.  :)

I wasn't able to finish all of it so they transferred it in a paper cup for take out.

We also tried Cream Broccoli soup with free bread and butter (130 pesos).

It's very delicious.  Perfect for the chilly night.

Next, my pasta.

This is their own version of carbonara.  They call it Spaghetti with Cream Sauce (280 pesos).

It's indeed, creamy.  However, a weird thing happened when we took it home and reheat it.  The oil appeared all over.  It's like swimming.  :P  Nevertheless, the taste was just fine and big serving too.

Kris was drooling about their breakfast sets, but decided to have pancakes instead.

3 layers of yummy pancakes with chocolate chips (185 pesos).

I think all of their food here are good for two hungry tummies.  :)

We were satisfied with everything.  We will definitely visit Bag of Beans again.

Here's a peek on their menu.

Of course, let me share our pictures as well. :)

doing his job... hahaha

my turn to be his photographer too!

spotted!  :P

What do you think?

Sorry for a picture heavy post.  I also had to finish it very quickly because I haven't started packing.  We'll go to Cebu and Bohol tomorrow!  Yay!  :)

In every girl's makeup kit, you'll always find a pressed powder.  I think I can still live without one, but I must have oil control films as substitute.  We can't really avoid "oily moments" throughout the day.  I actually envy Korean girls because a dewy and shiny face suit them.  They will still look pretty and charming.  Me?  Maybe I'll look wasted and my face may look like a pan ready to fry an egg.  :P

I'm currently using L'Oreal True Match face powder and already did a review about it.  In case you missed that, check it here.  So far, I'm loving it.  :)

My cousin is using Cover Girl for I think 2 consecutive times already.  I've also tried it a few times and here's my review.

First thing I noticed is the pretty much sturdy casing.  This pressed powder from Cover Girl has two types, one for Oil Control and this one, the green... is for Sensitive Skin.  There are other types, but I'm not sure if they are selling all of them here in Manila.

Now, the results.  The effect is very similar to my current pressed powder.  It's sheer and provides light coverage.  It gives you a fresh and natural look.  It's also fragrance-free and of course, another important thing... it doesn't clog pores.  As I have said, it's very light... perfect for touch-ups.

This shade is Natural Beige.  Here's a photo for you to see the actual product when applied on the skin.

Since this powder suits sensitive skin, expect that it would be gentle enough.  By the way, I think there's no sponge included.  I have to check it again though. :)

It lasts long, but then again, it will still require you to put some more if your skin gets a little greasy.

Price is almost 500 pesos.

What do you think?
