After a tiring but FUN football clinic session, we tried a new restaurant located in the SM Mega Fashion Hall.  The name is The French Baker Salon de The.  In other words, glammed up French Baker. :)

The place has an elegant vibe with sophisticated chairs and couches.  It's perfect for casual afternoons and good conversations over tea and some sweet treats.

So comfy huh!

The food selection is quite limited.  They specialize in appetizers, pasta, sandwiches and salads.  Good thing, we were actually looking for something light and we're not in the mood to pig-out.

Here are the 2 dishes we tried.

Croque Monsieur (280 php)

This is a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.  Yea, not interesting at first look, but just wait until you taste the sauce.

Next, beef lasagna (270 php).  Delish.

Aside from cheesecakes, they also have macarons.  It's perfect with our hot tea, so we tried 3 flavors.

34 each

We picked pistacio, raspberry and chocolate.  All of them amazed our taste buds!

For the tea, we got Earl Grey.

With their serving size, it's not the restaurant to visit if you're really starving.  The place is impressive though and again, meant for good conversations over tea and some snacks.

What do you think?

It's mask time!  This is the first product I bought from Nature Republic.  I got this because well, aside from the fact that the green tea in the label caught my attention, my skin also needed some TLC.  Everytime I feel that it's getting dull, I always revitalize it with facial masks.

I'll make this post very short. :)

What I love about it:

  • Very affordable (costs 55 php)
  • Packaging looks good
  • I still have a lot of liquid left after my first application.  I'm planning to buy additional facial sheets.  Tip: transfer it in a small bottle.
  • Very hydrating
  • Doesn't dry up fast, so you have time to do some facial massage
  • Skin felt super duper supple
  • No irritations

Watch-outs:

  • Can be very sticky as it dries
  • Scent is a bit strong.  It's not very familiar and I don't know how to describe it, but I'm 100% sure it doesn't smell like tea.
  • Contains paraben and alcohol
  • I accidentally tore a portion apart.  HAHA!  So clumsy.  The sheet was a bit thinner than the ones I've tried.  Be careful when you unfold it.

Wearing floral printed clothes reveals a lady's feminine side.  It's like a closet essential for us, girls.  Though I personally don't have much cause I tend to be always on a safe side, but with a ulta-girly dress like this, I won't say no.

Floral pants, shorts, tops you name it, it adds a ladylike touch on every outfit no matter how you style it.  But usually, I prefer making it look more dainty and I like playing with it's color palette too.

This charming dress has a little vintage vibe cause of the mauve pink back color.  I really like the combination of blue, green and the different shades of pink roses.  The wedge shoes, skinny brown belt, long earrings and a side-swept ponytail made the overall look more appealing.

Can I go straight to my quickie update?  HAHA!  Honestly, I'm not in the mood to write a post, maybe because today, I didn't get my dose of caffeine.  Argh, I hate it.  Oh well, let me start sharing what I bought recently.

Forever 21 had a buy one take one promo on accessories last month, so I got 2 rings and a pair of earrings.

New shoes~~ yeeeeeeey!!  I found this cute pair of comfy flats.  It's from SM Parisian and it's only 400 php!  The other one above is from Cotton On, same price cause it's on sale.  It's actually my first time to try Rubi, so I have no idea about the quality.

And the last set, 2 hair care products and a very expensive serum.  Gah.  I'm still pretending that I didn't pay for 2,200 php.  T_T

Anyway, the first one on the left is a hair mist.  It has a fresh scent and it's my superhair-o on bad hair days.  Next, a dry shampoo.  Yep, I said DRY.  I'll tell you more about it on a separate post.  I forgot the exact price, but I think both cost around 250 php.

So as I mentioned, the serum really made me cry a little.  But then again, aside from the fact that it's 2-in-1, serums in general, even eye creams alone are really expensive.  I have to try it for at least a month before sharing a review.

Now, my fave part!

Currently Loving: A hot coffee or tea after meal.  I'll choose that over dessert.  Hmm... maybe not.  :P

My LSS: Rather Be by Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne

Recently Watched: How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2!!  Thanks Baby for forcing me to watch this awesome movie!  I want my own Toothless!

ABSpiration Update: I'm very serious now.  HAHA!  I only got 2 weeks to tone my abs.  Oh no!  We are going to Boracay again and I'm working my ass off to look better in my swimsuit.  I'm drinking lots of water, lemon-cucumber-orange water that is, doing my workout 2-3 times a week and trying my very best to eat clean.

Craving For: This.

Okay, did I say something about eating clean?  HAHA!

Have a great week ahead!

We spotted this unfamiliar restaurant at Trinoma and decided to give it a try.  The place looked nice with a very modern urban vibe. Not to mention the tempting smell and sizzle of patties that welcomed us.   It was a perfect timing because we're in the mood for some #yoloburgermeal.

8 Cuts is an ultimate burger heaven.  For me, it's like a patty lab where they create assorted burger patties and invent various meat blends.  Take note of the word lab - not factory.  Each order is hand-pressed to make sure that it won't look and taste too processed.

According to their FB page, the meaning behind the name is:

8cuts was born to become everyone's neighborhood burger joint. The name ‘8Cuts’ is a reference to the eight cuts of beef used in the 5 custom blends that only 8Cuts offers — chuck, rib eye, short rib, sirloin, brisket, hanger, flank and ox tail.

Price starts at 145 php to 285 php.  For those who loves experimenting, try The Boss Burger (190 php).

Their patties are made of 100% pure beef.  They have 5 unique blends, but again, you can customize.

Ready to "meat" 2 of those 8 bad boys?

Not him.  HAHA!  Okaaaay, he's the 9th.

It's going to eat me!!!  :P

Here's Mr. Cheeseburger No. 3 House Blend.  Look how thick the patty is.  Yummo!  Need I say more?

Actually, the flavor was fantastic, but the bun was a little turn-off.  I know they specialize in beef patties, but the bun also plays a supporting role, right?  Their buns were like 80% air.  Nevertheless, this burger is not just your usual boring cheeseburger.  It's excellent, period.

Even though they added only a tiny bit of sauce, we didn't care.  We just knew there's something awesome in every bite, in every chew.

Next, meet Mr. Q-Daddy Ox Blend.  A lot of things going on and the bun couldn't contain it.  HAHA!  Ooh, look at the melted cheese!

I only tried one bite because I hate mayonnaise and anything that tastes similar to that.  But as for the patty, I must say, it's very distinct.  Not too strong, but still, full of flavor.

We also tried their fries.  Nothing special, so I suggest go for their onion rings instead.

We'll surely be back to try the other 6 (and onion rings for Kris).  I'm also interested about their other dishes.  Their desserts and shakes seem delish too.

Burger fanatics will definitely love this place.

Hey there, skin care freaks!  Today, I'm sharing an extensive post about iWhite's new packaging plus step-by-step instructions on how to unclog those stubborn pores.  If you've read my post here, I mentioned that they also gave me a Purifying Essence that will help extract blackheads.  A bonus indeed!

This is gonna be picture-heavy (I know you guys love that.  More photos, less text.), so expect some more loading time.

The highlight of this post is the before and after photo at the end.  Yea, I know.  I'm brave like that.  HAHA!  This is #bloggerduty to the next level.  No edit.  Definitely real.  But I have to warn you, it's nasty.  :P

Here I am, going this far just to prove to you guys that iWhite's nose pack is really capable of taking out some of those accumulated dirt from your pores.

But before I share the routine, let me share the cool packaging first.

read the review here

I have to say, the sachets look waaaaay better now.  It's eye-catching.  I saw them at local drugstores and they're a standout.

Here's the new look of iWhite!

read review here

Here's another product I tried and also, the cutest packaging design among the bunch.  Scroll down for the review.

It's basically a facial mask that whitens your complexion.  Make sure to use regularly to get noticeable results.

It's very easy to apply especially if you're used to their nose pack, because they almost have the same formula.  It could be messy though, but I'd still recommend using your fingers.

Facial masks are the perfect treatment to bring back the glow, moisture, radiance and elasticity of the skin because they remove impurities.

This one is a peel-off type of mask - very straightforward.  First, apply evenly then, let it dry for a few minutes.  If you don't wanna peel it off, you can use a wet tissue or wash you face with water.

Here's the main hero in it's new costume!

read the review here

I've already did a review but this time, I paired it with the Purifying Essence.

With this new packaging, it's easier to open the sachet.

Now, onto the routine!

Of course, we have to start with a clean face.  Next, apply the Purifying Essence on the nose area and chin.  This will serve as a serum to prep your face before the nose pack application.

The consistency is very water-like and it's scentless.

There you go.  I want you to meet my large pores.

Make sure it's a little dry before putting on the nose pack.  It will start to feel very warm as soon as you apply it.

Now, let's remove those bad boys shall we?

Start on the you nose and spread it on the sides of the cheeks.

Again, you don't need to have a very thick layer.

To clean your fingers after application, use a tissue.

You know the next step.  Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.  Avoid doing anything that will make you sweat.

Now, let's try the whitening pack.

Apply this on the rest of the face.  Just avoid the eye and mouth area.  This is perfect for ladies who have uneven skin tones and dark spots.

I only put on a very thin layer.  The 2 masks look the same, but there's a slight difference when it comes to the consistency.

Time to take a funny #maskselfie.  HAHA!

I like to do this once a week, even twice if I'm not too bombarded with things.  It's really a great way to pamper your skin after exposing it to dirt and suffocating it with makeup.

Here's a tip.  When peeling it off, start at the bottom part and pull it upward.

Ready for the yucky part?  Here's what I got.

As promised, here's the before and after photo.

It's normal for the pores to look more visible after, so don't forget to apply your pore-refining toner!  It's the most important step.

As you can see, some are still buried in there.  HUHU!  They are really stubborn!  They won't leave!  I hate them so much!  Good thing, there's iWhite! :)

When you do this regularly, you'll see improvements because pores tend to be bigger when they are clogged.  So, make sure to take away the dirt first.  That's how we can minimize 'em.

As for the whitening pack, I instantly felt a smoother skin after peeling it off.  I think I need to finish one or 2 sachets first before confirming the results.

Ooh, before I forget, apply your moisturizer after the toner.

With the Purifying Essence, I noticed that more blackheads were removed.  Yes, not all of them but it really helped the nose pack to penetrate in the pores.

What do you think?

You can find iWhite products at convenience stores and local drugstores.  They are very affordable! You can start with the sachets first.
