I haven't prepared my drafts yet so here's a spontaneous post.  HAHA! But hopefully you'll find it helpful.

So lately, my hair color starts to annoy me.  If you can remember, I tried red-brown hair last year and super loved it!  You can check out my post here.  It was shoulder-length before and now, it reaches my bra strap.  (I'm amazed how we can use our bra as a unit of measurement for hair.  HAHA!)  I want it longer, long enough to have it permed and have soft curls, so I didn't go to a salon for any trim.  As it grows, of course, the color starts to go down.  It wasn't too obvious (I think) until now.  As you can see in our latest photo shoot here, it looks like ombre.  Ombre is fine and I love it.  Sometimes, it looks okay on photos too especially when I curl my hair.  I'm also considering this hairstyle but I want it properly done by a stylist.

Kris has been consistently begging me to go for digiperm but I'm still waiting for at least 3 to 5 inches more.  I am now thinking of doing either of the following:  new hair color or bangs.  Need a little help here.  :)

While you are thinking about your choice, let me share a few tips first on how to change your look without having to spend so much money.

1. Bangs

Since I already mentioned it, let's start with bangs.  I know most of you are scared of committing to this style because it's so hard to maintain it.  If you're hesitant about having full bangs, try side swept.

2. Hair Part

This is the easiest way to change your look instantly!  If you always part your hair to one side, try to part it to the center.

3. Hair Length

If you think you can rock short hair, go for it!

4. Frames

I recently changed my eyeglasses and bought a bigger frame.  What's your pick?  People can now see my eyes better (plus the horrible eyebags).  You can also try different shapes or even contact lens.  Check out Michelle Phan's video on how to find the best eyeglasses for your face shape.

5. Lip Color

If you are fond of nude lips, try rocking bold pink or a classic red (or vice versa).  You don't even need to buy more lippies, try mixing what you already have.  Find out how here.

6. Eye Makeup

Same with the previous one, try to experiment with your eye makeup.  Change up your look by wearing cat eyeliner.  Your options are endless. :)

7. Accessorize

Accessories play a part when it comes to dressing up.  Watch, earrings, necklace or bracelets can revamp your outfit.

8. Curls

You don't need to spend at least 3 thousand for a perm because Youtube has a lot of videos on how to make those gorgeous (short-term) curls.  One technique works for me!  Just twist your damp hair, tie and leave it for hours.  No heat needed!

Can you think of other ways to have an instant makeover without splurging?  Let me know in the comments below. And don't forget to give your advice about my hair problem too.  HAHA!  :)

Good luck!

Here's the part 2 post featuring the other 2 Korean restaurants we tried last month.

After Yoogane, we decided to try the Ortigas area.  Second stop, Ye Dang.  It's located beside Metrowalk.

I heard that this BBQ place has been around for a long time.  I then realized that it's true because the ambiance looked a bit "old" already.  :)

I saw an area where you can sit on the floor.  Cool!

We were not in the mood to try their BBQ because well, maybe we didn't like the place that much.  We just tried 1 dish and good thing, they served free side dishes. There's tofu, spinach, radish kimchi, anchovies, pancake (pajeon), cabbage kimchi and our fave, sweet baby potatoes.

around 200 php

I forgot the exact name but I think it's similar to beef stew.  It tasted like "nilaga" (a Filipino dish).  The huge turn off was the raw meat.  We didn't confirm it with our server but it really looked and tasted like raw beef strips. Anyway, we tried to eat some and selected only the "cooked" meat.

Maybe the stew was not a good choice but I read good reviews on their BBQ, so you can try those instead.

Parking: Yes
Service Charge: None
Serving: Dishes are good for sharing
Damage: 300 to 500

Lastly, Jang Gae Nae.  It's located in Escriva Drive, Brgy, San Antonio.  We were surprised upon seeing the crowd.  Almost all tables were already taken.

Again, free side dishes!  Oooh!  You're gonna love Korean restaurants.  HAHA!

This time we had: bowl of salad, tofu, kimchi, radish kimchi, sweet peanuts, bean sprouts and sweet eggs.  Noticed the generous serving?

It's the perfect "but wait, there's more" moment because they also served free soup and pajeon!  We didn't expect that.  HIHI!

around 150 php

Since it's the last resto to try, we surely didn't miss tteokbokki, a popular Korean street food.  Kris liked it too!  I told him that I always see this snack in Running Man.

Beef Ribs (290 php)

We wanted to cook BBQ on our table but unfortunately, we ordered a cooked dish.  Oh well, at least it's delicious - perfectly cooked.

They also have mint leaves aside from the usual lettuce.  The Korean food trip won't be complete without the "meat wrapping", so you have to try it!

Parking: Yes
Service Charge: None
Serving: Dishes are good for sharing
Damage: 200 - 500

After the sumptuous meal, I dragged Kris to a Korean store beside Jang Gae Nae.

I bought metal chopsticks, instant ramyeon, strawberry wafer, chocolate ice cream and my fave, frozen milk shake!

We still have a few Korean restaurants in our list so we have to schedule another food trip.  I enjoyed the experience except the lingering smell of BBQ.  HAHA!  Make sure to tie your hair and bring extra clothes.

I have to delay the Korean food trip part 2 post because Kris has the memory card.  Ugh, I'm so forgetful.  Anyway, let me introduce these new members of the family today instead.  :)

Let's start with my new shampoo from Human Heart Nature.

129 php

The conditioner version was already sold out at Landmark so I bought this one instead.  It's not as minty compared to Head & Shoulders.  Are you familiar with the icy cold feeling on your scalp?  HIHI!  It doesn't lather well but that's not a big deal for me.  So far, I think it's working.  The only problem is that, I notice that it's starting to cause dandruff.

Next, items from Mango, Spain!

After 2 months, it's finally here!  :)

We only paid around 6,000 pesos for everything!  Plus, the 250 php shipping fee.  We didn't buy it straight from Spain (just in case you're wondering).  We found an online shop that opens pre-orders from several shops in Europe (Bershka, Pull and Bear, Zara, etc.).

Since we purchased everything from Mango's outlet shop, we got up to 80% discount (end of season sale).  Kris bought 2 pants, 1 sweater and 1 t-shirt.  The rest?? ALL MINE! HAHA! (well, except for a dress that's too big for me) Because of this, I have no right to shop this month (and the next).  :P  I also bought 2 items from Suite Blanco, a bag and pair of black comfy shoes.

580 php

Yay for my new weekend bags!

580 php

I like the fabric inside.

340 php

More accessories...

290 php

A Mango wallet for only 300 pesos?  *gasps  Perfect timing because I badly need a replacement - using it now!

210 php

180 php

The top one is an ombre mullet skirt and left is an oversized sleeveless top.  My fave is the sailor cardigan with the cute anchor embroidery.

I think I won't find the same prices (even if already discounted) here in Manila.  I couldn't say no!!  HAHA!  Well, except for the 3 clothes above because I think they are still expensive. *wink

Last but not the least...........

My new red lippie!!!  Thanks to Kris (AGAIN)!!!!  He surprised me.  HAHA! <3

I wished for Riri Woo, but I learned that it is VERY similar to Ruby Woo.  No complaints!!  Besides, it's Kris' pick!  HOHO!  I haven't used this yet but will do start soon because I'll be posting a review. :)

That's it!  What's your favorite from the bunch?

Similar to concealer, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect toner.  I have tried 2 already and I am also happy with my previous one from Loreal - totally worth trying.  As I explore the products from my new favorite local brand, I found out about their interesting line called Awesome Poresome.  As I told you before, you'll be engrossed in checking out everything in Snoe's kiosk because of the cool names and appealing design.  Trust me on this one.  HAHA!

This baby Toner has 2 sisters, Cleanser and Serum.  You can buy the trio and have a complete pore minimizing kit for only 799 php.  You'll save 48 pesos plus, you'll get a small bag.  Since I still have a cleanser and I'm not yet sure if I really need a serum, I opted to buy this alone.  And by the way, they have a cousin too.  The name is Polish.  :)

In my opinion, the bottle is really small for a toner.  Sadly, they only have it in this size.  I'm using this twice a day after washing my face.  Like any other toner out there, the promise is to have less visible pores.  But what makes this baby special is that, it also balances oil production.

Check out the key ingredients above.

Packaging: It's in a spray bottle which is fine and doesn't leak.  But you know, this bottle right here is better.  It saves you a second and all you need is one hand.  HAHA!

Price: I just hope they introduce us to this baby's motha! Make it bigger please??  But then again, price is acceptable - 249 php.  And the positive side is that, we don't need to spend 500 and above just to try it.

Scent: I can smell berries.  HIHI!  It could cause a little eye irritation so be careful but other than that, I love the refreshing feeling after.  No over drying!

How it works for me: I'm not yet seeing any signs improvement but I'm not completely disappointed.  Why?  Because it really minimizes the appearance of my ultimate enemy (well, next to my eye bags that is) after every application.  Yes, I'm not lying and exaggerating.  HAHA!  It only takes a second or two and you will really see the result right away.  HOWEVER (oops, please continue reading ladies, don't you click that "x" button just yet), you'll be saying hello to reality after a few minutes.  Pores will do misbehave again.

Even so, I'm still loving it.  I believe that it will still work if you regularly clean your pores.  You know, exfoliation and stuff like that.  Do everything to unclog them.  In that way, once this toner closes your pores, it won't be visible again immediately because there's nothing inside.  Another tip is to apply serum or primer after to protect and help seal your pores.

As for the oil control properties, I think it also helps.  I really can't say that it's guaranteed because one, a Sexy Mama takes good care of my oily t-zone problem and two, when it gets super hot, nothing can beat the "oil factory".

I also noticed how it effectively cleanses and remove dirt/makeup left after washing my face.  Really awesome!

Time to start blogging about our Korean food trip experience last month.  We tried 3 restaurants  (the other 2 will be in one post) and I'll start with the one here in north.

Thanks to my little knowledge about Hangul (Korean language), I could read those characters. HAHA!  Though it's too obvious - of course that's the restaurant name.

I fell in love with the interior and overall ambiance, making me wanna go back.  The place is very spacious and clean.  They have "ventilation system" (I don't know what to call that) because you can cook at your own table.

I also like their idea of having "dividers" for some tables.  You know, privacy thing.  You don't want to hear and/or see everything from the other customers' table beside you.

There are also cute posters inside!  I think that funny chicken is part of their logo.  HOHO!

A quick look at their menu.  We only tried one dish here, the best-selling of course.  It's called Yoogane Marinated Chicken Galbi Fried Rice with additional Mozzarella Cheese.  Yay rice!  Perfect because it was our first meal, a late lunch.  :)

Our free 6 side dishes came right away.  A Korean meal won't be complete without banchan.

Sweet baby potatoes

Anchovies

Cabbage with dressing and bean sprouts - Can't remember that orange one

and kimchi of course

Our faves from the bunch are anchovies and potato.

Here are the ingredients.  We asked "ate" to cook it for us because it's our first time but it seemed pretty easy.  She just mixed everything together except the cheese.

As soon as Ate started cooking, a little chit-chat began too.  HAHA!

Good for 2-3

Yummo!!

Yes, it's spicy but it's something I can still tolerate.  The overall taste was simple but the melted mozarella cheese added oomph!  Irresistable!  Honestly, I already miss this dish.  We might drop by again soon.  #cravingstarts

They even gave us free Yakult after our meal!  Thank you!!

Too bad, we were not able to take outfit photos.  HUHU!  Anyway, I'll just feature these 2 chic pieces on a separate Lookbook post next time. *wink

Happy us! <3

Definitely, deserves 5 burps!
