BURP GUIDE - Ziggurat
One downside of working at night shift is the fact that you can't just eat wherever you want. If you're not okay with the 24hr fast food nearest you, then you have to look for somewhere else. My office location is pretty much inconvenient when you're looking for a midnight dinner or snack.
Tonight on Burp Guide, let me share to you Ziggurat.
Ziggurat Restaurant serves Indian, Mediterranean, African and Middle Eastern cuisine. It is located near Sunette Tower, Durban Street corner Makati Avenue.
I'm not a fan of this type of cuisine, but I love pita bread. :) I didn't know what to order since they have a lot in their menu. Yea, A LOT.
Their menu looks like a newspaper. It's better if you just ask them their best seller if you're not sure what to have.
10 pesos each
This is their Indian Papadum, just like crispy crackers with hint of spices. It comes with that black sauce. At first, it tasted weird but you'll appreciate this combo. :)
120 and 75 pesos
Next, their Mango Lassi and the regular Mango Shake. The lassi one has yogurt. Actually, I don't like this type of fruit shake. :)
250 pesos
We also tried their Chicken Curry. Yum! It's so rich and you can also tell them to make it mild or super spicy. :P It's made of chicken breast and potatoes. You can select any type of meat and any type of curry mix.
90 pesos
They have about at least 10 types of rice in their menu. This is Jordanian Rice, one of their best sellers. It has almonds!! I haven't seen such rice grain before. Love it! :)
185 pesos
Lastly, their Beef Tikka Kebab... very flavorful. Paired it with their pita bread or Arabian Khobiz.
Now, let's break it down.. :)
What I love about it:
- Variety
- Very authentic dishes
- Not that expensive
- Nice servings
- Still open at midnight
What I don't love about it:
- Not convenient parking space
- Outside dining area is a bit dark, mosquitoes flying around
- Menu is not organized enough, makes it difficult to choose
Rating: 5/8 stars

If I pass by Makati Avenue and crave for Middle Eastern cuisine, I'll try Ziggurat again. :)
